    Anyone else had shocking service RE: XBOne disc drive / repair centre.


    Getting really fed up now as Microsoft simply just don't seem to care! and wondering if anyone on here can offer some advice!?

    So, it begins.....

    Start of Jan disc drive dies a death, no major issues i though ring MS as in warranty get repair done boom job done right!? oh i could not have been more wrong.....

    Repair one returned............ unrepaired, exact same issues as when it was sent, ring MS obviously unimpressed, and after hours on the phone - i get another pick-up booked in, with a promise a note will be made to ensure that they actually do there job!

    After ten hours of waiting......UPS dont show to collect package, and place he blame with MS, MS say UPS and only sorted and collected once id tracked down the regional managers number for UPS and asked them to do their job.

    So - 2nd "repair" console arrives back today....... again hasn't been touched, still the EXACT same error as when sent Jan 6th - ring MS support whos solution is.........................................Send in for Repair, obviously had a word about that
    proposed solution and after 45 mintues of negotiation they agree to pick up my old console and just give me a replacement once it reaches them ( but refused to let me speak to a supervisor despite directly asking) .............7 hours later no emails about
    a pick-up, no confirmation from them and no contact at all,

    Anyone got any ideas where to go from here? as letters of complaint are being sent to John Thompson and Satya Nadella but any other avenues would be helpful as MS seem determined to screw me over on this one........... 7 years of XBL, 360 and one within
    launch windows and just feel like ive chucked a lot of money towards MS and they totally do not value me as a consumer.

    Broken disc drive, now I can't update.

    so I recently dropped my Xbone and broke its disc drive. I've continued playing my digital copies for the past month. But since the most recent update I'm getting system error:E100 is my xbone bricked if I can't repair the disc drive?!

    Can't process the update. Status code: 40A3 - 416B - 1600 - 267F - C000 - 0185

    I had the same problem, sent my xbox 360 to the service centre for repair.

    I'm in the same boat, mine started to do the same thing 13 months into owning it. I also got chucked to the side with "you can get it repaired" or "there is nothing else to do other then to purchase a new console" Which BOTH involves money. Disgusting service,
    all they care about is there money.

    Do you know the address for those 2 names above? I am currently in the process of writing a complaint letter too. I also recommend if your from the UK to take it to the programme BBC Watchdog as they solve a lot of peoples problems and make the problems
    aware for people who don't know. Anyone else had shocking service RE: XBOne disc drive / repair centre. :)

  6. I recently had an absolutely horrendous experience with Customer Support too. I'd rather spend a day at the DMV than to deal with them again. My Kinect was either 1 or 3 days outside of my "grace period" (the number of days changed depending on with whom
    I was speaking). I was insulted and condescended repeatedly. Eventually I was told after speaking with 4 different people that they couldn't help and that I would have to pay $89.00 for a refurbished turd. I too have supported this company for almost a decade
    but Microsoft just doesn't reciprocate any of the loyalty to its customers. Pretty sad really.

    Hello ForzaFinn,

    For this problem, take a look at the guide here:
    support.xbox.com/.../disc-drive-solution


    If none of the steps work, the guide will direct you to sending the console in for repair. Attempting self-repairs will void any warranty or your ability to get it repaired at a service centre more generally.
