Anyone Else Gonna Be Dirty This Week?

Anyone else get
DiRT Rally? I pre ordered this and Quantum Break.

I'm currently playing through The Division. I don't know when I'll find time to fit all these in this week since I also have one of those things called a job. lol


Obviously Quantum Break was this weeks hyped game so I was just wondering if I was the only one who got
DiRT Rally. It seems like most of the racers have left the forums... or maybe I'm just imagining that?

I am DIRTY every week, I work out in the woods for a living....not getting that game, just no time between Division, QB, and Alan Wake.

 

^ I can understand that. With Dark Souls III coming out next week I will be trying to figure out how to play 4 games at once. lol

Really weird that with Dirt Rally releases nobody made a thread before.

I'm gonna take it but later this year....I'm a ESO addicted and will skip next Forza Horizon,so maybe this fall.

From what i saw,game looks fantastic and seems to be as good as Colin Mc Rae rally from back in the days....It's about time to have a real good rally game.

 

There is a Dirt Rally thread somewhere but it'll be buried a fair few pages back.

Will be picking this up,just not at release.

Looking forward to giving it a go as it's meant to be a bit hard.

 

Talking to someone last night they said it was terrible and have already off loaded it....

 

Talking to one of my racing game mates & from what he says it's brilliant but hard as nails.

It's very much a sim & not arcade,more like Richard Burns Rally was on the original xbox.

I am trying to hold of as I have a few games to finish & Dark Souls 3 is tempting me but I bet I cave in lol.

 

This game isn't for the faint hearted! it won't be an easy 1000g like previous DiRT games were and more recently the WRC games, but it is the quintessential Rally game.

There's only one off putting thing for me - the lack of locations. The back of the box says over 72 stages spread across 6 locations and hopefully assuming Pikes Peak and Rally Cross isn't included in the '6'.

I'd rather have 72 stages over 12 locations, halving the stages per location hence adding variety of locale. the developers have said there will be more Rallys added in the future, but even still.

Rental for me and looking forward to seeing how the race demon DB fairs with this...DB will cave in!!!

Think there's only 3 Rallycross locations which is a bit disappointing.

 

In the first discussion about this game I incorrectly read that there was a game called "Dirty Rally" coming out.

I had visions of Sir Mixalot's "Put Em On The Glass" but those dreams were dashed upon closer inspection.

 

I have no time. I am playing Dying Light and currently only at 14% and want to compete it to 100% and then play the expansion. After that I have Quantum Break and fallout to work through.

 

Maybe in 3-4 years when it's a Games with Gold release for "free" or $5. Until then I'll pass.

 

Typical, no new rally games for ages, then 3 pretty much all at once! I've still got to finish WRC 5, Sebastien Loeb to play and now Dirt Rally. Hopefully the competition will help force prices down, because WRC 5 was full price for quite a while when it
was the only rally game, but the price quickly dropped when Sebastien Loeb released. Oh I do feel blessed to be a gamer! If anybody has played all 3 would love to know opinions on which is best.
