Anyone else going all Digital?

Seems to be a UK problem.

In US and the rest of Europe,disc and digital are at the same price.

After that,if digital sales starts to get bigger,we will see digital price drops and better deals too.

This is what happen with digital sales on PC vs physical sales.

You can't ask for better deals if you don't show your support.

I think you have things backwards. It's not really the consumer's place to show support. If MS want's a digital world then they need to start showing how it benefits the consumer and not just them. Until then, I'll continue to purchase physical media that
I actually own rather than paying the same price or more to rent the rights to play.

 

Microsoft already showed the benefits of Xbox live gold and XBL as a service and marketplace.

If you want to see digital price drop and better deals,show to Microsoft and others publishers,your support for digital.

You should take a look how Steam (and others digital retailers) started and how the PC community reacted.And how things changed over time, from both sides......Not only from compagnies but also from consumers.

 

I can't stand disks anymore..... it just feels so last gen. I'm done with them. There is nothing better than switching from game to game to TV to game to TV to game and never leaving my seat.

Nah....for some games I will buy digital, but I like being able to trade in my games once I'm done with them.

Some ppl find it to be dumb and real gamers keep their games and only poor ppl trade in their games...but, when I'm done with my games....they sit there.

Why would I keep them?

With digital I can't do that.

 

Isdn......i agree..... the one last piece of the puzzle is for MS to announce some digital used marketplace program they were rumored to be working on.

 

I don't see Microsoft lowering the digital prices of games especially brand new titles. Even if everyone goes to support digital games not much will change. They will continue to charge whatever they want regardless.

 

ICN3D, of course you can't do that - they're digital! They don't sit anywhere!

My thoughts exactly. I used to hold onto games, but a few years ago I realized I had something like 8 systems and probably 100 games that I'd likely never touch again (not including the games/systems I still had interest in). I finally listed and sold them
all on eBay so they wouldn't go to waste and I'd have a little extra free space. Since then I've tried to be a little more conscious about things and I sell the games I know I'll never play again as soon as I know I'm done with them. I know if I actually get
the urge to play one again I can find it later for less than I sold it for. So far that hasn't happened. I still have over 50 physical games and tons of digital games between those I've purchased, games with gold, and PS+, so I'm really not missing any of
the ones I've gotten rid of.

 

Just finished swapping all my games over to digital on both consoles, I don't trade in or sell games so it was an easy option for me.
