    Anybody ever send in their X1 for disc reading issues?


    my day one X1 is having disc reading issues. I have to tilt the Xbox's front up when inserting a disc for it to actually read it. Doing it the normal way won't load the disc. I have noticed a lot of people have this issue. So I am wondering if it's worth
    sending the Xbox in for or would it be a temp fix? Don't really want to be waiting for a repair for 6-8weeks for something which seems a design flaw. So anybody have any experience with this issue and sending the box in for repair?

    Why doesn't anything XBOX related work???

    If you receive error reading with every disc you use it means the disc tray of that console is damaged and you should send it for repairs.

    OK Microsoft Xbox Team, post something...

    MIne isnt reading disc either! they want me to send it back for repairs.. i tryed all that clear cache bs..

    My personal experience did fix the disc drive HOWEVER I'd strongly suggest that you specifically ask them to replace the drive and not swap out your system.

    My replacement Xbox had issues staying connected to the wireless controller and I had to send the replacement in to be repaired.

    My xbox will hardly ever read my GTA V disc if it has been turned off or restarts. No matter how many times i eject and retry with the disc it says it cannot read it. It only finally works after a number of hard shutdowns and reboots and even then you have to be lucky. Otherwise there is no issues with any other discs as far as i am aware. Anybody know why? Surely if the disc was damaged it wouldn’t ever read? And it isn’t dirty...

    Anybody else have issues with the Disc drive not reading discs?

    Luckily, my wife won an Eclipse edition Xbox One X from the latest Taco Bell giveaway. Thank you TB and MS for running that promotion. I decided to give my old One X to a buddy of mine that had only a PS4 and a switch. I let him know about the issue
    and he didn't care as it is basically a "digital only" version of the X now. Plus side, my son's games now work great again and my friend is now playing games on Xbox.
