    Officially its not possible. With Project XCloud in the works though I have to imagine full support is only a matter of time as they keep showing a phone clipped to an Xbox controller since that announcement. Hopefully it’ll work with current controller
    models.

    Are you using a third party brand controller? The Chatpad will only work with Microsoft Brand Controllers it won't work with any other brand controller.

    Finally figured it out, i had a chatpad connected to my pad and i removed this and it begun working. While it has always worked beforr with a chatpad, my chatpad has become defective amd must of been interfering, so i have taken it off and my headset work.
