Any word on an XB1 UPnP instant-on fix?

It has been known for a while now that the Xbox One does not trigger UPnP when in instant-on mode. See here and many other threads like it: http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_forums/xbox_support/xbox_one_support/f/4267/t/1627170.aspx

This is killer for me, as I don't have the fastest internet connection so those auto-updates would be great. Tonight I booted up my xbox to a 2gb update which basically means I'm not going to get to play tonight.

I've heard nothing from MS about a fix for the issue, or even an acknowledgment that it exists. Has anyone heard anything that makes them think they might actually get this working at some point? We're coming up on a YEAR since release and this bug being
identified.

UPnP issues with Instant On mode

So it appears that issues with UPnP still exist with Instant On mode. When I power my Xbox on, it isn't registering 3074 with my router. I have to hard power down the XBox to get it to re-open the port.

Is there ever going to be a fix for this?

Strict NAT over a wired connection?

Try putting the power settings to energy saver m8,I know there is an issue where on instant on it messes with the upnp on lots of router connections,or bar that give your xb1 a nice new ISP, assuming the system update (2nd) didnt cover your router.The optimum
connection for any xbox for keeping your NAT open,has always been everything on automatic,it will always surpass anything static concerning connection to online.

This is clearly an issue with the XB1. Why hasn't this issue been escalated to the hardware engineer team? This needs to be fixed!

Asking users to reboot the XB1, changing some instant-on setting, or unplugging then plugging the HDD back in, is not support! Fix this already!

I am no way going to take credit for this but I'm almost positive this will fix your problem. I tried everything under the sun for a week straight until I stumbled upon a post with a fix. ALL I did was change the power settings in the options. If you
have instant on checked un-check that box and automatic updates. Then do a full reboot by holding down the power button. Soon as I powered back up BOTH of my xb1's were open NAT. Apparently theres a bug with the instant on that doesn't allow UPNP to work
on your router. I have suggested this to numerous people who were having problems and it has worked for every single one of them! Hopefully it helps you guys too.

For people having issues with Moderate/Strict NAT I just see this posted on the XB1 forum. Now I don't know if this works but according to this person it has helped others out.
