  1. Any way to transfer PC game license to a different microsoft account?

Hi there ... so a while ago (December 19th 2019 ) I purchased a PC game, Quantum Break, under one microsoft account.. but then linked another microsoft account to my windows 10 installation.. when I go to install Quantum Break on my PC it basically forces the installation of xbox game pass which in turn demands that the device .. in this case my PC .. be the one that the purchase was originally made on.. calling the United States customer service phone number (800) 642 7676 doesn't give me much help, the robot won't let me speak to a live agent ... is there any way I can transfer my game purchase to a different microsoft account, that is the one that I linked to my Windows 10 installation? Or is the game pretty much lost for good now? Thanks to anyone who reads this and replies Any way to transfer PC game license to a different microsoft account? :)

    :)

Any way to transfer PC game license to a different microsoft account?

Hello, I'm Felipe and I'm an independent Community Advisor, and I'll do my best to help you.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to transfer a PC game license to a different Microsoft account. The license is tied to the account that made the purchase, and cannot be transferred to another account.

However, you may still be able to access the game by signing in with the account that made the purchase. You can try logging out of your current account and logging in with the original account that purchased Quantum Break.

If you no longer have access to the original account, you can try contacting Microsoft support again and explaining your situation to see if they can offer any assistance. They may be able to help you recover the account or provide further guidance on how to access the game.

Would really like some help with this.

No. The license transfer will only transfer all of the licenses. There's no way to choose just a few. And if you're using a different gamertag, there's no way to transfer them between accounts.

    Gamertag / Account Games Bound

    1. There is no way to merge two gamertags.

    2. Any Microsoft account can only have one gamertag associated.

    3. Migrating a gamertag two a different Microsoft account will take over all digital purchases and subscriptions as they are bounded to the gamertag, not the Microsoft account. Any existing credits will not be transferred as they are bounded to the Microsoft
    account.

    4. When buying a new Xbox 360 the games being purchased with the migrated gamertag will still be available, but you should also consider to have the licenses transferred to the new 360 then. If course there is no transfer of save games possible.

    5. There is a difference in the license models of the 360 and the One. In the 360 digital purchases are bound to the console and the purchasing gamertag. On the One they are primarily bound to the purchasing gamertag. There is no license transferring on
    the One.

So in summary, there is unfortunately no way to have both gamertags merged. To migrate gamertag 1 into account 2 you have to get rid of gamertag 2 which means the games purchased by gamertag 2 could get lost if not transferred to the new 360 then, purchases
for the One will be lost anyhow by this. So for the One it would be best to have both accounts installed on the One and have the one set as home console for both accounts, so games purchased by any of the accounts could be played by both of them. For the 360
the licenses of both gamertags should be transferred to the new 360 so both accounts are able to play them.

But no merging of the accounts at all.

Question about games on demand and dlc

All items are licensed to both the account that originally purchased it and the console that it was originally downloaded to. This means that so long as the content is on the original console that it was downloaded to you can access it with any account
    on that console.

If you get a new console, you'll have to transfer the licenses to the new console. Licenses cannot be transferred from one account to another.

As for PC games. Licenses are linked to the account that originally purchased it. I do not believe that you'll be able to play those games from a different account.
