Any Way to "Gift" a Game to a Family Member???

I would like to gift a game (currently pre-order) on the Xbox store to a family member with Bing Points I've earned (who is in my Microsoft family already). Is there a way to do that? I used to just order a card and get a digital code I could give them
to redeem their points, now the points go directly into my account. The issue is that one of us doesn't have an active Xbox live Gold account.

No, there is no option to buy as a gift. So the only way is to wait until release day 10th November. Then you can.

That's no big deal. We both live in the same state.

So is there any way I can gift this now so that they get a pre-order bonus?

On the Microsoft store on most game pages there should be an option to buy as a gift, select that option, and follow the instructions from there. You also do not need an active gold account to do this. Please note. You can only gift games to other gamers
that are in the same region/country as you.

Oh no! So, the most economic way to share among family members is to have fake members for every two console in my family and buy all games/subscriptions for too, killing the 'gift' part from 'buy as a gift' option.

WP, I just hope it is not intentional.
