  2. XBOX Music Download Error on W8 PC

I was having a similar problem, and fixed it by updating the default save locations for certain libraries.

You can change the default save locations for your various libraries in Windows Explorer - Go to, for example, your Music Library. A special tab called "Library Tools" should be available. Click the "Manage Library" button in there, and set up your default
save locations for music. The Music App references this information, so make sure the folder is accessible to the Music App. My problem was that the default location was on an external hard drive connected to a powered down PC on my network. When I updated
it to my Music folder on my local hard drive, the problem was resolved.

Microsoft - it would be helpful if somewhere within the Music App settings, we can choose default save locations for different media, like we could on Zune, especially given this problem. Or at least a better error message that explains the problem more
fully would be appreciated. I feel like you can make the App say specifically that it couldn't find the folder/couldn't connect to the folder that's currently set as the default save location for Music, which was my problem.

BIONIC79, please let me know if this helped your problem too, and good luck!

    Save to a different location?

Sadly it is "the way it is" as you put it. Downloads from the marketplace must be stored on the internal memory while downloading, and then you can send them to your USB memory. Waypoint having to completely redownload is unfortunate in this situation.

    Saving on different harddrive?

Thank you for contact us! I'm Anderson, an Independent Consultant and a Microsoft user like you.

    Good morning

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble saving your Xbox games to a different hard drive. It can be frustrating when things don't work as expected.

First, it's important to note that changing the default save location for Xbox games can sometimes be a bit tricky, especially if you have already purchased games and have saved them on your original hard drive. However, it is possible to change the default save location for future downloads.

To change the default save location for Xbox games, follow these steps:

Open the Xbox app on your PC and click on your profile picture.

Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.

Click on "System" from the left-hand menu.

Under "Storage," click on "Change where new content is saved."

Select the new hard drive where you want your games to be saved and click "Apply."

Once you've changed the default save location, any new games you download should automatically save to the new location. However, if you have already downloaded games to your original hard drive, you may need to move them manually.

To move games to a different hard drive, follow these steps:

Open the Xbox app on your PC and click on "My Library" from the left-hand menu.

Find the game you want to move and click on it to open the game details.

Click on the three-dot menu icon and select "Manage game & add-ons."

Click on "Move" under "Installation options."

Select the new hard drive where you want to move the game and click "Move."

It's possible that your downloads are reverting back to the C: drive because you haven't moved the games that are already on that drive to the new location. Once you've moved all of your games to the new hard drive, they should stay there.

Why can't I change my Install Options even though I have space

Hi there! This is Virginia O.

I understand that you are experiencing issues changing the installation option.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

When running Windows on a Steam Deck and trying to install Minecraft, you have encountered issues with changing install locations due to Steam's default behavior or Windows' storage management.

Please check Steam settings. Go to Steam > Settings > Downloads > Steam Library Folders. Make sure that you have a Steam Library folder set up on the drive where you want to install Minecraft.

And then add a new folder. If you don't have one, click the "+" button and select the drive and folder where you want to install games.

Ensure that the drive with the new Steam Library folder is set as the default download location.

For your Windows storage management. Check Storage Settings through In Windows, go to Settings > System > Storage. Make sure the Steam Deck's internal drive is set as the primary storage location for new apps and games.

And if you have a lot of files on the internal drive, consider moving them to a different location to free up space.

Once you have Steam and Windows set up correctly, launch Minecraft from the Steam library.

Then verify that Minecraft is installing to the correct drive and folder.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

Downloaded a game and I can't find it

Do you you have a removable hard drive or USB memory stick at all, could be the game was saved somewhere other than your Xbox hard drive. Easiest way to find it would be to go into system settings/memory and browse for the game on there.

(PC) Gamepass I uninstalled a tmnt shredders revenge and now it wont load

Hello Gerardo S, My name is David. I am an independent advisor, happy to help you today.

These problems can be a little frustrating,
First what we will do is Delete the game configuration files. In some cases, game configuration files can cause problems. Locate the game installation folder on your hard drive and delete any configuration files or save files related to the game. Then try restarting the game.

You can also reinstall the game to a different location. Instead of reinstalling the game to the same location, try uninstalling it completely and reinstalling it to a different location on your hard drive. This may help fix issues related to the previous installation.

    Best regards.
