Any way to Auto-Update?

This had to be asked, but I could not find any results. I have the early update access and on top of the normal updates, it seems like my xbox is updating a couple times a week, now to me this is no problem. However this is hooked up in our family room,
and I constantly get crap from the misses that she can't watch tv, or do a workout dvd or what not because of the updates. I guess I could just tell her to not apply the update since that is an option but I'd like it if the console could auto update since
I leave it on, and we are not home for most of the day.

Is there an option for this?

I just checked the setting etc, couldn't find a way. A guess is that a higher difficulty means less aim assist. Seems logical.

The console will not auto update its OS if it's switched on, you have to manually update it through settings so I'm not quite sure what updates are getting in her way? Maybe app updates like Netflix? These often start when you launch the app.

If you turn your xbox off and it's in instant on mode then it will download any available system updates and install them ready for when the console is next turned on so these should never get in your way.

 

That may work, the issue is since my xbox is always on when she goes to watch TV or what not, it is asking to DL the system update (not individual app updates) and that makes her upset haha.

I will try the instant on mode to see if that solves the problem.

 

It will eventually force a system update if it hasn't been download for several days.

How long are you leaving the console on? Just switch it off if you aren't using it and power it down overnight.
