Any Silent hill fans?

Hey.

What do U guys think about the juggling from platform to platform regarding the games?

It has gone from playstation to playstation 2,; to psp and ps3 and the big turn over to Xbox 360. It whould be nice if it was to the both Machines, instead of going back to playstation 4 and letting all the fans down. last year it was kind of hard decide
which platform to purchase. Thanks to the gameproducers Xbox survives anyway with other good titles.

Which silent hill game do U prefer?

I think the first silent hill, actuelly is the most scary, and the story gets more and more thrilling and intresting throughout the game. great soundtrack, very chilling soundeffects.

Did You Really Love The "Silent Hill" Preview? Don't Read This If You Did

I liked the demo. It gave me a bit more scare than the last five Silent Hill games. Based on my one-word reviews below, I'm not feeling too bad about the game being cancelled.

I just noticed that you're currently playing the " Silent Hill HD Collection " at the time of this posting. Silent Hill 3 is my all time favorite in the series and I only just recently played it on the Xbox 360 on the account that I never owned a PS2. I
played Silent Hill 1, Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill Homecoming, and about 50% of Silent Hill 4 The Room. Silent Hill 3 is absolutely awesome! Silent Hill 1 is my second favorite game in the series which is followed by Silent Hill 2 in third place

I've always had both systems, so it hasn't mattered to me really.

Which one do I prefer? I liked the first one and really liked the second. The rest have been pretty disappointing.

I liked the Ps4 "PT" Playable teaser though. Really had me on edge. I had to ask my significant other to sit with me while I played it because it was stressing me out a little. haha

 

I really like the series, but its hasn't captured the brilliance of the first few games for a long time.

I've generally enjoyed all of them though and I think a lot of it comes down to the general Silent Hill formula with game mechanics and inventory etc. and then getting to unlock some crazy weapon for end game fun.

Downpour was the first SH game that I played that seemed to deviate from that formula and I really hated it for doing that. It wasn't the worst game, but couldn't have been a lot better imo.

 

I still own each release on various consoles, it didn't matter to me what it was on. It was a Japanese produced game, local sales might affect the chosen platform.

 

The only game I really played was Silent Hill 2, and I never finished it. Too scared to get through it, lol.

 

I know that feeling. You not only feel isolated, but the grungy environments look like they haven't had a human being in them in a hundred years. And then on top of that, you have a very limited visibility due to either fog, or that it's just dark and
you have a flashlight. Then you have NO idea what could be wandering around in the fog or darkness. Something awful could be right next to you and you wouldn't know it until you happened to shine a flashlight at it. It's just a very unsettling game and
Silent Hill 2 is definitely the best one.

 

The series went off the boil after 3, The Room was passable I suppose but Homecoming and Downpour were just bad and that HD collection was downright abysmal. There was a glimmer of hope with Del Toro working on the new one, it could have been interesting
but I think Konami just don't give a rats about the franchise anymore.

 

I will defend Downpour; it was a great game despite its obvious flaws and just as good as the old ones . I put it right up there with Silent Hill 2.

 

The Silent Hill series is so creepy. I've played many of them though didn't have the heart to finish most of them because of how terrifying the games are. I usually end up watching walkthroughs online.

I haven't particularly liked the most recent releases. Silent Hill 2 on Original Xbox was really amazing... I also played Silent Hill 4 on Original Xbox and Silent Hill Origins on PSP and a few others.

I enjoyed the movie too.. though the second film left a bit to be desired for though.

 

I still have hopes that the rumors of MS buying the Silent Hill franchise are true. I know Microsoft denied the rumors, but they could just be saying that to make the surprise happen at E3.

 

Silent Hill 2 continues being my favourite.

 

Downpour was great, I still need to go back and beat it one of these days.
