Any place to find some cool armor WITHOUT any Add-Ons?

I'm a level 12, and I'm looking to find Ebony Armor. I don't know where to find it. Anyone know?

Cool places to go...

I'm level 37 now and I'm finding cool places every time I play! For example, I often wondered how people got up high on library and then I found the secret doorway - had some cool battles up there!! There's also a place where you can find incendiary grenades.
Any other places that peeps know of on other maps?

 

where could i limit my child buying games

i am a new user with xbox one, i am trying to add some limit to my child, but can not find the correct place, is any one know this, just give some help, thank you

 

Make it yourself? Shor's Stone in the Rift has a quest to clean out some spiders. It is an ebony mine. You can ick up a quest in Riften from the Alchemist that takes you there so you can kill two birds with one stone, so to speak. You can do it at your level
but you probably won't get ebony in drops this early and maybe not even be able to buy it. I'm not sure where else there is ebony but you can search for it on the wiki.

 

I should have said that you will need to level smithing but that is not hard to do. Just be sure to make items with a lot of value. The old days of making daggers are long gone. I would suggest going to halted stream, getting all the iron and transmuting
it to gold. Then make jewelry using as many gems as you can. Building a house is also a pretty good way to level smithing though you may regret all the transmuting.

I don't think ebony drops or becomes available for sale at your level.

 

There is a transmutation spell book in the bowels of Halted Stream Camp. Halted Stream is north of Whiterun in the foothills of those mountains if you don't have it on your map yet. There are a ***-ton of bandits in there, but they are about as smart as
your average doorknob. Once through them the book is on a table with a leveled coin purse.

At level 12 it is a possibility that the book won't be there... Someone here once said if the book isn't in there at an early level - then after you've dealt with the bandits, go back out into Skyrim and crank the difficulty level to the max and go back
in, the book will appear. Never tried this... it was there for me about level 20??? Not sure when I went in there first, but that is where I got the spell.

 

No, it is there from the beginning and can be had at level 12. Halted Stream was always the best place to go get iron though after Hearthfire I never transmuted iron. There is a gold mine too but it's a much harder place to clear since it is outside of Markarth
and infested with Foresworn. It is a good place for gold though.

 

Good to know, since we got ESO online my youngest has Skyrim pretty much all to herself, much to her delight. I'll tell her to go fetch that book.

 

Thanks to everyone who commented and helped. Really want to get my smithing to 100 because I want to use the 36 Dragon Bones I have to make the 2nd best defensive armor and the most powerful weapons in le game. But as I am a low level, I should just focus
on leveling up otherwise.

 

I have a dragonbone bow that I've improved as much as I can (without using the exploits) by wearing commonly found Smithing buffs, and sipping a potion. With all archery perks, wearing my archery buffs and sneaking makes it pretty much OSOK on everything
in the game that isn't an Ancient Dragon or higher... or The Ebony Warrior, he is a bad hombre. You won't meet him until level 82 I think.

As of now, I do have either 227 or 277 armor rating. I don't really remember.

After I grab some ingots, I shall make these stronger 'till I do find some cooler armor. Maybe I'll install Dawnguard, and the Dragonborn DLC to see what loots I can pick up there.

But until then, I'll need to up my smithing and head to my nearest Ebony mine.

 

There is an armor cap and once you get your smithing up with potions and armor perks you can improve just about everything to the cap, which is around 580 or so, I don't remember. The point is, once you reach the cap it's a matter of wearing what you like.
I dislike wearing helmets so I make sure my women are at cap in what they are wearing and use circlets for boosts. I prefer vampire armor on women though dragonscale looks good too. I like the look of Nightingale but it is already enchanted and I prefer my
own enchants.

If you wear heavy, I like the look of blades armor or steel plate better than most of the rest. Good luck. If you have questions don't be afraid to ask there are still some of us who have been around since the beginning who still check in.

 

Vampire armor looks sexy as hell on females (aside from Orc, kahjiit, an argonian). One of my saves is my main girl from DD and she looks gorgeous in royal vampire armor. On topic: at level 12 you'll be lucky to find elven armor that isn't guilded. On my
current run I finally could buy ebony around level 28
