Any other early adopters feeling slightly unappreciated?

How special are early adaptors in your world? Some would argue that
NEW customers are valued more. (I imagine most companies would see it that way) Apparently even ambassadors feel like they've been slapped in the face at times by MS. That tends to bring the baby out in people. It's understandable.

 

Nope. Got x1 day one and eb games gave me free microsoft wrist band microsoft necklaces packed it in a flash carry bag. Anyone boasts I just say microsoft autograhed my controller aka day one 2013 haha did they autograph yours? Didnt think so. And didnt
pay full rrp for the day 1 saved 100 cents off the full rrp. And weve been IN the party having a blast since day one.

Thats how ill put it.

I find the ambassador program another entity entirely. We get to participate in exclusive community events and put no more investment in than our willingness to help others, usually through support chat.

It's a tough comparison to make I think.

 

It seems like the price was reduced faster than with the original xbox and the 360, so maybe that's why some people feel a bit more slapped in the face than in previous generations. We all get slapped from time to time. Life is full of slaps.

I can see where you are coming from, I mean new buyers are getting a thank you by way of a free game so why not early adopters/day one buyers?

Having said that a lot of gamers on day one were offered a free game ( well here in the UK ) most got FIFA but some, myself included managed to get Forza 5 free which basically saved me £50 on the day.

To be honest though it doesn't really bother me, I always knew being a day one customer that later on the console would be cheaper, a game or two thrown in. Who knows, maybe in the future new buyers will be given 2 free games as a thank you so will the people
that recently got Ryse feel a little upset they only got 1 game?

 

I really don't understand why you are concerned. If MS want to dish out good deals and free games to new buyers, that's upto them, they certainly aren't the first company to give better deals and freebies a year or so after they release a product.

If you are getting what you expected for the money you spent, there really should be no issue....... Unless you feel you are entitled to something more.

@duffal said pretty much what I think. I'm fine and have been since Day one. I've actually got 2 Autographed Day One controllers.

 

By Autograph do you mean the factory stamped day 1 2013? Or actually autographed. I know MS did autograph a few original Xbox's by putting your name or whatever you wanted on the console.

 

Nothing beats an autographed day one 2013 controller from microsoft.

 

Unappreciated? Are their not releasing updates to the people that bought an X1 at launch?

 

In a matter of 1 second I can think of at least a dozen things that are better then a day 1 controller.

I'll ask you, did you actually get an autograph? Mine is exactly the same as that text I stole from IGN.

 

It's the Stamped one, with metallic dpad times 2. I'm still fine. I own most of the games I want to play right now, or atleast the older ones that they would try to give me.

 

I consider day one 2013 on day one edition controllers autograhed yes. Because it was manufactured there in writing under the direction of microsoft. But microsoft did it I didnt just simply got to google images and print one off. At least im having a wooo
about it ^-^

 

Kk I like to call it autographed but some others may not like it. Thats the way I see it and like to be colloquial ; D
