Any love for the Day One buyers?

Don't get me wrong, I'm well aware buying any product early on is risky and that all products will become cheaper over time, but it seems Microsoft is just kicking Day One buyers below the belt with all these constant packages for new buyers.

6 months post-release and after going in to the store to pick up a copy of watch dogs today, I find I could get a console + Forza + Titanfall + Watchdogs for the same price I paid for 'just' a console on day one. Not to mention the new cheaper kinect-less
bundles, meaning all early-adopters now have an optional accessory that developers likely won't utilise and is now just an expensive voice controlled TV remote.

Sure they needed to entice more people to buy their product, but the console wouldn't have got this far without the people who purchased it during all the negative media attention. I don't work in marketing but I do know how important customer loyalty is
to a company. They are the ones who keep spending in the long run, be it games, DLC, subscriptions, whatever. And these are the people currently being left behind.

I'm not one of those people who gets *** and abuses everyone online about it, but I would like to know if there are plans to compensate/reward those early adopters (They did this with the 360 in the form of free games and a controller). Sorry but a digital
achievement and tiny decal on my controller aren't a reward.

I've seen other threads with disgruntled customers so I know I'm not the only one to feel this way, and with an expensive product that is no longer what was advertised when I purchased it, I'm at least grateful that consumer law here in Australia gets me
a refund if they continue to insult those they should be trying to hold on too.

    A regretful buyer.

    :)

  2. Where is the love for Day One supporters?

You got to play the Xbox One at launch while others had to wait. I would rather have brought an Xbox One at launch, than wait 3/4 months and buy the £399 Titanfall bundle. Microsoft won't please everyone; give 3 months of XBL,
people would complain that they deserve 12 months. Even if Microsoft gave Titanfall to every early adapter you would still have them complaining about how they don't like Titanfall.

I am very frustrated at the fact that I put out $500 4 months ago for a Xbox One Day One Edition and another $60 for Titanfall and they're already selling the game bundle for $450. I feel like Microsoft should give their Day One supporters something, anything.
A credit to your Xbox Live account to download a game, 3 free months of Xbox Live, etc,. I have bought 6 games, another controller, headset adapter if I would of imagined that they would give out Titanfall free with the system after dropping the price of the
system this soon I would have waited and saved a ton of money. Now I know the prices of games always drop, but to give out the most anticipated game on Xbox One for free to new users while the rest of us Day One supporters have to pay full price for it is
like a slap in the face. Maybe I am the only way that feels this way maybe not either way my rant is over lol.

Any love for the Day One buyers?

I went through these same feelings a few months ago and posted my concerns as well. Unfortunately, got blasted and called a brat, spoiled, idiot, and basically told I took the chance and how dare I complain about it. I have been a Day 1 on the original
Xbox, Live Beta tester, 360 and the One. There is a long list of item's we could mention, but this thread will eventually be littered with haters and name callers as the days progress. I have a great time with my three sons on multiple game days and nights,
but the simple truth is MS is a business, making money is priority number one and when a business plan takes a turn for the worse, they implement a new one and move forward. I think Games with Gold for the one is a great start, although Halo SA won't download,
I keep getting an error code. I know now when the next round of Day One console hype starts again, I will chill on the sidelines and wait 6 months.

  5. Hello there Any love for the Day One buyers? :)

That Halo SA problem should be resolved now and you should be able to download it.

As for the upset about day one purchases compared to post launch purchases, the best place to provide feedback on that is in the below forum section.

Uh oh... that shouldn't have happened.

I will point out that this is the support forums, I imagine the place you got bashed was the general forums. Either way, what you should do if you are getting abused is use the report tool at the foot of every post. The community here is for the most part,
an outstanding one. They can get a little rough sometimes but they mean well and its important to remember that how you project yourself, determines how you will be received. I am pretty sure you will find a great bunch of friends in them if you decide to
    venture back there.

    I hope this helps.

    Many thanks,
