    Any ideas on how to stop my Xbox one X from shutting off?


    Over the last month and a half my X randomly shuts off while I’m playing online. I touch the console and it is cool or room temperature. Upon boot up it says it shut off due to over heating. The console isn’t hot. There is nothing blocking the vents or
    within the consoles immediate area. It is not inside of a bookcase or anything. It is on too of my entertainment center where it can get good ventilation. I have tried doing a hard reset on it and the problem still persists. The games it has shut down on me
    are 2k19 and PUBG if that helps. It is plugged directly into an outlet not a power strip or anything. Any thoughts or tips are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    I have a question and another million but for now, My cable box which is hooked up to my xbox is shutting off by itself {you know how it has the energy saver and when you are not active for a bit it shuts off. Leaving my t.v. and xbox on by their selves.

    power cycling the console     by holding down the power button on the console for ten seconds.
