    Any chance of making Kung Fu Panda: The Game backwards compatible?


    Ugrading to an Xbox One and will get rid of the 360! It’s not an issue really, but this game is not on the list and if it could be added, that would be nice Any chance of making Kung Fu Panda: The Game backwards compatible? :D

    I have Sonic 06 too which is also disc-only but still backwards compatible...

    Oh yeah, of course... forgot about movie licences. And had no idea the program had been suspended! Thanks for the quick reply :D

    Well then, I hope Dreamworks eventually licenses a better developer to make a better KFP game... that’s a bit less bad.

    Hi,

    I hate to disappoint you but this isn't going to happen. There are two reasons for this, the first and foremost issue is licensing. Kung Fu Panda is a game based on the movie license from Universal Studio's. When Activision acquired a license to make the game based off the movie they did so for a limited time. This is common for pretty much any game that uses licensed content, even in-game music have licenses.

    The second reason why is that the backwards compatibility program of Xbox 360 and original Xbox games has been suspended, with no news as to when or even if MS will work on it again.
