    Anti-Piracy System Makes Console BROKEN. Why Did You Do This Microsoft?


    Christmas Day. Go to sign in and play Halo: MCC and I am unable to play offline Microsoft cannot prevent attacks from some teenage hacker group that has done the same attack multiple times. Again, I cannot play offline
    with the game I own because Microsoft doesn't think I own the game that I bought and have access to the disc. I have to be signed in for you to verify that I own the disc even though I have the disc. HOW STUPID IS THIS. Because you
    cannot stop a small group of hackers from hacking your multi-million dollar online system I cannot play ANY of the games that I do own because I don't have an online connection to your servers. My Xbox One is useless! Your
    product is BROKEN. Why did you think this was a good idea?? Why did you think that this would stop piracy?? WHY HAVEN'T YOU BLOCKED/PREVENTED THIS ATTACKS?? WHERE ARE YOU HEADS AT MICROSOFT?? YOU HAVE YET TO FIX THIS.

    I will keep posting this until I get an answer. I bought your stupid product DAY ONE and it was broken and a year later IT'S BROKEN EVEN MORE! Where's your team at? Who's fixing this?? WE WANT ANSWERS

    Assassins Creed III - Unrecognisable disk

    OL So I have exchanged it a second time and it still isn't working...I know that error code 03-80-00 is an anti-piracy code for the XBOX 360...Which means Ubisoft put anti piracy software on the disc and it is conflicting with the XBOX software....This happened
    with MW3 when it first launched and Activision made a statement saying that that was the problem a conflict of anti piracy software....When is Microsoft going to get it together and fix this *** for good...I am sick of spending money on games that won't work
    because console companies and game developers wont communicate with each other on make a good anti piracy software that doesnt cause conflicts with the consoles and the games.

    Yes, this is correct. It is due in part to the new Anti-Piracy Format on the Disc itself and "how" the Xbox 360 reads the Disc.

    I'm sorry for those of you who did not participate in the Preview program but this what brought up many times.

    Why do you have to swap discs over even though both are installed on Harddrive?

    My Guess is Microsoft regs or anti piracy system prevents them from doing it.

    Protect the content from someone who has paid for it? That's the kind of silly thinking that got unskippable anti-piracy ads put on DVDs, you know those anti-piracy ads the pirates didn't see.

    Why would I want to have it downloaded to use offline? What a good point, you know I just can't imagine a scenario like someone DDoSing Microsoft and making connecting to Live very difficult...oh wait!

    Its one of the new anti piracy codes. I had 03-80-00, the tech support rep I talked to found that out for me. Is it a new game cause mine was with Skyrim. Supposedly the new anti piracy firmware and the on disc anti piracy codes clash. I was told to wait
    for Microsoft to fix it in a patch or update. But havent heard if and when this will be happening.

    Sounds like an anti-piracy measure to me. Seeing as this is a highly anticipated game published by Microsoft, they want to make sure that there's a valid disc in there.
