    Another Xbox One Stereo Adapter Issue


    For about a year now (been tolerating it since I rarely used the problem area until lately).

    I am using a HyperX Cloud 2 headset. It works fine on PC and PS4(plugging it straight into the controller) and with Xbox One game audio and party chat. However, it will not work at all for game chat(by game chat I of course mean other players talking
    via the built in game chat). I have the controller(s) and the adapter both up-to-date and have set my account settings to allow for everything and game chat still will not work. Didn't bother returning the adapter since I figured "Ah well... It's still fairly
    new I'm sure it's a bug and there will be an update for it.", you know, since party chat and game audio work.

    stereo adapter

    I got an xbox one stereo adapter around 01/15/16 2 weeks after I bought my xbox one and the adapter stopped working. I had to buy another stereo adapter cause it broke. Now the controller has left thumb analog button "stick" What is my remedy?

    Volume on Xbox One Controller

    A compatible headset has to be plugged into the controller in order to change the volume and. If you have another pair of headphones or controller to test where the issue is arising that would be great.

    If that has been done, it is a widely discussed issue that some controllers don't change the the volume. In that case, a stereo adapter could work such as this
    one     or alternatively a new controller.

    Hi Zathrus,

    We have two of the
    Xbox Stereo Headset     with Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter, and both sets have worked well with no problems for sometime now. And I have used the
    adapter with non-Microsoft headset with no issues. So, given that you say your "3.5 mm cabled headset " works directly connected to the controller, then I regret to say it would seem that the fault lies with the adapter itself and may need to be replace.

    Xbox One Stereo Headset clicking noise

    You're not on your own. Just recently purchased a brand new Xbox One and new XO Stereo Headset myself. I'm getting exactly the same issue! I thought this was supposed to have been fixed back in April?

    It's either an issue with the adapter or the controller as the stereo headset doesn't have any of these clicking issues when plugged into another device.
