Another Xbox One Power issue

So in the 8+ months we've had our Xbox One, it has been working pretty well. A few weeks ago we started having intermittant issues where the console woult just shut off in the middle of a game with no warning. Eventually it got to the point where the console
will not even turn on. We have already replaced the power brick but we see the same problems.

Here is what I see:

When the power brick is plugged into the wall (directly, no power strip) the brick light comes on orange.

I then plug in the brick to the console and one of several things happens:

1. The brick light turns white, then shuts off completely. Xbox has no power. Will not turn on.

2. The brick light turns white, then eventually back to orange. When pressing the power button on the console, you hear the beep, then everything shuts off. No light on brick.

We've tried multiple bricks. We have tried different power outlets. Nothing seems to help. The system is still under warranty. Wondering if there is anything else to try or if it needs to be sent in for repair.

Another way to fix the issue is to hold down the power button on your Xbox One for a few minutes, until the power brick turns orange, and then turning it back on.

I would suggest doing a Power Cycle to your Xbox One. To do a Power Cycle visit this page:

support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console

Sounds like you have tried everything and it appears the console will need to be repaired. You can log in here and set that up if you registered your console. account.microsoft.com/devices

When you send the console in do not send the power brick with it because if you do there is a good chance you won't get it back.

Can you use another power supply to test it? I had to replace mine on my old xbox one, as did my son after we had issues with it not powering on.

They worked fine with new power box and if you can check at least you will know the issue?

Assuming that the console needs to be repaired is a notorious way to make yourself wait for an issue to be resolved that usually will not be resolved because the xbox wasn't the issue in the first place.

Take a look at your equipment, you have, an xbox, It's power settings and PSU (Power supply) and your house with the outlets. Troubleshoot ALL OF THEM.

Go to xbox.com, go to > support > Xbox one > System > Power supply. Read all the links and articles there and try all the troubleshooting located there before reporting back with your results. 99% of the time you will find your issue and fix it.

-Try another outlet.

-Try another room in your house.

-Try another PSU with YOUR XBOX

-Try another xbox with YOUR PSU

You will find your issue.

If it's an original Xbox One, I don't think they repair them anymore. An orange power light is a sign that there is an issue with the supply of power. Have you tried plugging into another power outlet?
