Another XBOX download speed issue

Hi all,

My question is why do Microsoft limit the network speed on XBOXs. I have a One and Series X, wired ethernet.

When I open the XBOX Web browser, and go to speed test.net for example, I see 1 gig speeds. But when I test from the xbox settings, I get 1/5 of that speed. So it's nothing to do with publishers limiting their servers or my Internet setup. As the browser manages better speeds.

When you do a speedtest, youre doing a short test designed to push the maximum to you to a server geographically nearby

You are pinging the Xbox servers that are likely much farther away

Virtually no one will provide sustained gigabit download speeds. Gigabit is intended for a family of heavy simultaneous users. 200Mbps is 25MB/second. That's a gigabyte every 40 seconds, or a 100GB game in a little over an hour. Other users need that bandwidth as well.

Another thing to keep in mind is the upload speed of the connection. If you have a hearty download speed but an upload speed under 1 mb, you'll likely run into connection issues.

Same issues, only on Xbox, on my pc downloads never stopped, but when I need to download some new game or patch on my Xbox, it start at full speed and after 30 sex the download dropped and then after a 1 minute, it restart for another 30 sec full speed and continue like this.. I tried everything but nothing change

My PC's does not use 40Mb/s or 10 Mb/s because they are turned off. They don't download anything, It is a problem of Xbox live which is limiting my download speed on XSX.
