Another XB1 price drop?

I just noticed here in the UK ASDA and Tesco have dropped the price of the XB1 Titanfall bundle from £400 to £349.99 that is now the same price as the PS4. Both sites have codes knocking around to you can get it even cheaper.

So is this another price drop? Is there a reason why both stores have dropped the price again this time by £50?

If xb1 and ps4 were the same price ..... I'd buy an xb1 and cancel ps4 pre order...

 

it is called competition.... if store A has X product and sells it for $10... Store B with X product will price theirs at $9.. so store A comes back for $8

that is all it is... not a MS drop but a retailer drop

 

I don't think this is any sign of an official price drop. Supermarket competition is very fierce in the UK and both ASDA and Tesco buy in such massive bulk they could probably sell them much lower than that and still turn a fair profit.

 

This is good for people that want a cheaper X1 but have limit fund.

 

It's good for anybody trying to buy an X1 full stop. I wouldn't turn my nose up to £50 extra in my wallet.

Trade your 360 in and some games wonder how much you would pay then

 

places like this.. ( I am assuming ASDA is a large retail store) buy in such large bulk they can afford to loose money on each system if it is made up on other items... you walk in to buy the XB1, you walk out with a soda, another game, possibly some batteries
and maybe a Blu-Ray movie... the $40 they loose on the XB1, they make up on the $100 profit from other items...

this is why you do not see online only retailers doing this very often... it is a one stop shop.. click pay buy one item done

 

Major Nelson has reported that Prices on the Titanfall Bundles are promotional prices and not indicative of prices drops of the system. Retailers are likely trying to move all bundles that were shipped and then when this bundle disappears, standard consoles
will still run $500 USD.

 

There will be a Microsoft permanent price drop very soon. After people see these deals the will not pay full price that's always the way it is, the cats out of the bag the price has basically dropped.

And I'm not sure how Microsoft handles pricing but I wouldn't doubt that they authorized these sales like Apple and some other companies do.

 

Microsoft can afford to drop the price so they wont care if they do or dont to be fair

 

bst.. it works like this... MS sells an XB1 for wholesale to a company for, lets say $425.00, if they buy 100, they might get them for $420.00 each unit... MS will have a MSRP (Manufacturers suggested retail price) set at $499.00... if a retailer wants to
sell them for $499, they can.. if they want to sell them for $425.00 they can.. if they want to sell them for under wholesale for $350.00, they are more than welcome to... MS is not loosing any money by them doing so as they sold the units already...

As far as MS is concerned...they do not care what they sell for... only until MS says OK, we are lowering the MSRP to $449 will it be an official price drop.. but to do that.. the wholesale price would need to drop from $425 to 375 to make the profit margin
the same... that I do not see happening until maybe next holiday season... what you will see are bundles sold my MS for 499 or sales like 449 like they did for TF

 

Target on line had the X1 at 100$ off msrp. The profit margin for the X1 is no where near 100$ per console for Target or any body else and they are not going to take a loss on it. The Uk has all ready got a price cut and I would guess Microsoft is behind
all of these deals. Otherwise it makes no sense check out this link.
