Another World - 20th Anniversary Edition Rated for Xbox One

Eric Chahi's classic 1991 surreal sci-fi adventure Another World (or Out of This World, as it's known in North America) is getting re-released on 3DS, Vita, Wii U, PS3, PS4 and Xbox One in its 20th Anniversary Edition, according to a German ratings board

Yeah, I remember playing that as a kid - the game was gorgeous! It's too bad I could never get past the beginning... I would run to the right only to find a monster that would attack and kill me since I was defenseless. If I ran away from it to the left,
I would fall off a cliff and die anyways.

 

I played this on my Amiga 500 back in the day. Classic game. Was a big fan of Delphine Software games. They made the first adventure game I ever played, 'Future Wars: Time Traveler'. Wish someone would remake that, along with Delphines' other classics, Operation
Stealth, Cruise For A Corpse and Fade To Black. Great games! Great days!

 

I remember playing Another World on the SNES, fantastic game.

GG, it's a mistake I will never learn from. Funny enough I catch it sometimes and just keep typing, even though I can see the error lol!

 

Nice,i guess....But i played another classic remake,Flashback and was a bit disapointed.

Maybe old classic should just stay in our memory....

But still good news.

 

This is a bit spoilerish, but I thought it'd be fun to share anyways:



No wonder I never got past the beginning in this game; it looks absolutely brutal!

 

I have great memories of this and Flash Back too. I don't think it was the graphics though, it just ran so lifelike and smooth at the time. I guess it had high fps for the era. It was heavily based on trial and error rather than skill but at least it was
fairly unique at the time.

How times have changed, if it doesn't run at 1080p it isn't worth considering now I guess.
