Another one that is having freezing problems

Does it only freeze with those two games?

I had the same problem with several games, and I know it is incredibly frustrating. You shouldn't have an issue with a game being too "Graphically intense", as all Xbox 360s are shipped with the same video cards, CPU, etc. What eventually solved the issue
for me was simply downloading the game to my harddrive. I would suggest this as a possible solution, unless your harddrive is too small to accommodate the game.

Another issue I was running into was overheating-this was solved simply by clearing the cooling vents on the system with a can of compressed air. Of course, this could be unadvisable, as it is possible to blow dust into the hardware and cause more major issues,
but it was able to fix my problem.

Those are the only 2 games I have tried. I do know that Black Ops has had some significant problems and wondering if the game has corrupted my hard drive, but the overheating also makes sense.

Have you tried removing your storage device and play to see if the Xbox continues to freeze?

it might be as you said, hardware problem, too intense graphic might be overheating the console (I used to have same problem). if it is only few months old then you still should have a guarantee.
