Another license transfer question...

Hi folks!

So, I have two 360s.I wanna do I license transfer.But,i'm curious to know if I could set-up BOTH 360s to enable them to play full games when NOT signed into either?I have never done a license transfer before.Is it POSSIBLE, providing I NEVER sign back online
w/ the xbox i will have taken the license off of?

I don't have a gold membership anymore so I can do without having to get online w/ THAT xbox now anyway.The one I would transfer the license to (and would be able to also play full games offline on, after license transfer of course), would be the one I would
use to go online for YT or Twich or whatever.

This way I can have my original 360 (the one that has a ton of games on it already) be used offline but have the full games on it.This 360 would be in my room where there is no access to an internet connection.Rather then going back and forth (up & down
the stairs) w/ a memory card.And to be perfectly honest, it's also nice to know that at any point I can play full games on either console if I lose internet connection for whatever reason.

Transferring Xbox 360 Games from Xbox One to another account

The license transfer tool is to transfer your licenses to another console in case you get a new console, not to transfer licenses between accounts. There is no way to transfer digital licenses to another account.

No. It's only possible to have console licenses on 1 console.

 

I get it.But i was under the impression that one could do the license transfer from the new console while the older console (the one w/ the license) is actually not online.Thus, when i start it up i would need to manually sign in.And as long as i don't EVER
go online, those games should still be full versions.But i gather it doesn't really matter because i would need the older console to be online in some capacity (ethernet connection) in order for this to work at all.Therefore, console on or off, onlline or
off doesn't make a diff.

I have another question though.I have a game i accidentally bought on my other console and would like to have it on the main console with all the other games.So that i can also play this game in it's full version when i may not be able to get online.All
my games have been purchased using the exact same gamertag.How do i do this?Is this in essence where the licensing tool is helpful.Taking the license from that console for the game and moving it to the license that has all my other games.

Hope i'm not losing and confusing anyone here.Lol.

 

You have to be online in order to use the license transfer tool. So your first scenario would not really work.

For your other question, if you sign into the console you want that game on and perform a license transfer, it will move it to the console you want it on. You will have to be signed into Live on the other console in order to play the game.

 

In doing so, it shouldn't mess up my other games or anything right?I mean, all games WERE purchased using the same gamertag to begin with.

So i transfer that license over to my MAIN console, and it WON'T affect the license for the other games that are already on it,correct?Just wanna make sure.

^^ You can't pick and choose which game's license gets moved. If you do a license transfer for a different console, ALL of your purchases are then tied to this new console.

 

Any games that are already tied to that console will work the same as before.

You have to be online with your account on the new console in order to use the license transfer tool. You don't need to be online with the old console for it to work, after all what if the system was bricked.

So if the old one is kept offline then it'll never know that the console license has been swapped to a new 360 and the games will continue to work. The instance the old console makes a connection to Live though all the info is updated
