Another home xbox issue with gold

Hi, so i have tried reading multiple threads now but cannot get the solution i need.

I have 2 xboxes and i want to coop play with my kid using both. I have 1 gold subcription on my user and have made the Xbox that my kid uses my main Xbox (Lets call that xbox A). My kid who is connected as a famility member and has the right to play online in his account settings can now play all my games when he is signed into Xbox A. However he cannot join my multiplayer games that i created on Xbox B that i sign into, nor can he host multiplayer sessions. He just gets the message to join Gold live.

I have tried removing both users on xbox A and turn it off and plug it back on but no success.

Before i made Xbox A my main Xbox he could not play games when he logged in, so it has done someting just not giving the right to play online. What am i doing wrong?

Thank you so much for that. Can you please try using your Xbox account on the console A and check if you can play multiplayer game from there?

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

Just a friendly reminder though that setting up a family setting does not mean that the game and subscriptions will be shared to their account, it is a feature where you can manage a child account.

To get this fixed, you need to set your account as Home Xbox on the console A in that way all profiles logged in to the console will be able to use your subscriptions and games.

"1. Sign in to your account.

2. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

3. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Personalization, and then select My home Xbox.

4. Check "Make this as My Home Xbox"."

Hey. Yes i do get to play multiplayer on my user on console A, but i just had to test my kid's user again and for some reason it works now? Maybe it needed some time before it activated or worked idk. A bit strange but I thank you very much for taking the time to answare and for helping!

I have however allready set the Xbox on Console A as my Home xbox and letting my kid use that console while i log into Console B. He can access all my games after we did that but get the message to join gold when we try to play online togheter.

Thanks for coming to the forums. When they are playing the game are they on their profile on the home Xbox? If they are on another Xbox they will not have the gold.

For gold share they log on their account on the console you set as home.
