I still have and own every Halo game, so I won't be picking up Halo: The Master Chief Collection

As do I original xbox and Xbox 360, but majority of mine are now owned by my partner. Not trying to sell you the game just passing on that they are available on it and have been for a few months now.

 

If I had a X1, whould I buy ODST 2? Depends on how long the Campaign is.

If I had a X1, along with the MCC and could get the original ODST for 10 bucks? Yes. (Short campaign)

If I had a X1, would I buy a re-mastered ODST? Again, short campaign so if priced above 10 bucks. All you're paying extra for is eye candy. So no!

I felt ODST was the weakest Halo campaign released yet and, as such, I've no interest in an ODST 2.

Well, not enough of it to check the game out at full retail price that is.

 

'HALO 3' was the first HALO game that I played, and needless to say it's Fantastic. I liked it so much that I bought 'HALO 3 : ODST' soon thereafter and thought that it nowhere near matched 'HALO 3' in substance, in fact, it turned me off of the franchise
for good. Still have yet to play 'Reach', or '4', or whatever other regurgitated fare they've served up since. Kinda the same thing happened to me with 'Forza'. Not really into Racing Games, but thought that 'Forza 2' was probably the Best Racer I'd Ever
Played, liked it so much that I even bought 'Forza 3' but it paled in comparison and yes, I haven't had the least bit of interest in the franchise since. XBOX can have these Exclusives for all I care...

 

I don't think that another ODST title will be happening. Mostly because 343i killed off the Rookie in one of the latest Halo comics. He gets shot in the head.

they should remake all of the halos for the xbox one with all of the dlc.

From experence, 8 Story missions often makes for short campaigns. With Blue Ray being upwards of 50GB, and 360 games being less than 8, that means that there is little return on the initial investment. So as a gamer who seeks quality campaigns. No, I wouldn't
drop a dime for it.

Example of what I mean is COD Ghosts, or BO2 (Can't remember exactely) but with an extremely short campaign, was the worst COD to date for campaign action. Luckely, I picked it up for next to nothing and thus consider it 2b a good investment. Yet If I had
paid 10 bucks for it, then I would have had no choice but to consider it a bad investment.

So as with any game. If they continue to make campaign action as short as say. Halo 4's, then I wont invest in it until AFTER it hits the less than 5 - 10 dollar bargin bin.

 

Totally agree with @ElectroFlying. Also, I wonder how many ODSTs there are. Many of them became Spartan-IVs, and half of the original squad from ODST became Spartan-IVs. Dutch retired, and Mickey became an insurrectionist. I'm not sure what happened to Dare..

Granted that there will be only 8 missions, each of them will have to be a lot longer to complete.

I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of each mission being in a completely different area without any of the back-tracking stuff to warrant; requiring about 20 hours to complete the Story Mode

In regards to Dare, It would have been nice to play as her in Halo 3 ODST because you played as everyone else.

Halo 4 campaign is quite long.

There is a Master Chief story + the Infinity story (aka Spartan Ops).
