Another games going away - RIP Project Spark :(

sad news again. After the great Fable Legends and the amazing people at Lionhead Studios, it's now the turn of Project Spark.

They were just getting rid of dead weight.

 

The game's been dead for an age. As soon as they made the entire thing free, you knew it was only a matter of time.

 

For those unfamiliar "Project Spark" let you design your own indie type games.

For those who enjoyed it and for those who think that would be kind of cool... "DOOM"'s SnapMap mode allows you to create your own DOOM levels.

So instead of making indie games your finished product can be a Triple A masterpiece.

In it's simplest format you lay down a map, decide what the environment is going to be, stick objects in it, add enemy spawn points, behaviour patterns, disposition, health, buffs, lighting, sound, and through the "Logic Chain" tool you can have both enemies
and the environment react to certain criteria to create all sorts of dynamic interaction in level.

So good news if you like to to create games.

You don't have to do it in a Lada anymore.
