Another DLC region lock qestion

Games are usually not region locked. Only limitation is that you cannot buy digital purchases on a different marketplace then the one of your country as you need proper payment and billing informations on your account for purchases.

1. There is no region lock on games usually so you will not enocuter problems.

2. Multiplayer games have worldwide access to servers and are not region locked or limitated to local servers.

3. There are different offers on the different marketplaces of course as there are also region only apps and services available, especially in the movie and tv sector. Also there is the above explained limitation on digital purchases.

I have another question, since Region Locked games don't download, will I be able to get DLC for games? Fo example the Destiny DLC?

if your PHYSICAL region doesn;'t match your actual region it can cause problems with region locked DLC

this is why we always suggest those two match

now if you purchased the game while in the region but then used the migration tool

the content may not be available in that region



this is why there is region locks

it does not apply to all DLC

there is no definite list if it is a AAA title it is most likely region locked edue to different content laws



the migration tool is meant for people to move not temporary moves



nor is it meant to gain access to dlc your not supposed to have



that is the answer



when creating an account you have to use your ACTUAL region and if you migrate you forfeit access to some DLC

this is why we suggest you create another account if it is a temporary move

DLC, Games, suscription (XBL Gold) and ms points are region locked so no you cant transfer nor use them in another region thus why it tells you the code is invalid.

As mister gwyther said certain content are region locked blackops is region locked

Not all content is region locked it is ideal to create an account in your actual region

Prepaid dlc codes like gears of war and blackops are region locked and will fail before completion

Remeber the region locks are not limited to those two games

But for games and dlc you have the issue with your best option is to buy your actual region
