Another dead chat adaptor?

Things have been working ok for an xbox one (aka terrible for any other system) for the last 6 months until last night my chat adaptor and xbox started acting up. I could either hear people only, or they could only hear me. After several unplugs of the xbox
one, controller, and adaptor, this still continues. Previously 1 unplug of the xbox one would fix it. I'm trying it with COD:AW and Turtle Beaches.

No audio from party chat members

After months of dealing with this issue, the answer was finally explained to me by someone else online via another chat service.

Windows10 changed what my default audio device was so i had to reset it to the output that everything else was set to, and that's why just my party chat audio wasn't reaching my headphones, because the output was going to a dead end

 

Sorry bro, no one has an answer for you. This thread will probably be locked because too many people have been complaining about headset issues, including myself. No one can hear me. 2 controllers, 2 adapters, 2 headsets, no dice.

 

I just recently had this problem occur, while during part chat my headset was working properly when for some reason everyone in my party suddenly stopped hearing me. I can hear them, volume button makes noise when I adjust volume, and mute light comes on
when I press mute. But they cant hear me and my mic doesnt light up when speaking. I also notice it shows my mic is plugged in when it's not and I have the Kinect off. My NAT is Open, I've done the controller update as well. I've done everything they said
on youtube even the set power to energy saving. Tomorrow I'm picking up a single adapter rather than the single peice mic and adapter set. So if it's just a broken mic I can easily use another mic.

 

Hello there! I think I have a solution, even though it's not really a solution, as I've experienced a similar, if not the same, issue. When it comes to the chat adapter I had one for about 6 or so months and one of the wires became shoddy. I could only speak
if I held it a certain way, and that's not going to happen if I want to play games. Otherwise it'd make loud popping sounds...

I've contacted some people about it and the only real thing you can do is get a replacement. In all honesty I'm not even going to bother investing into another one, but I will be upgrading to a set of the new Turtle Beaches for Xbox One.
