Another buggy Assassins Creed game?

The only good AC game was Black Flag IMO, the others are some of the most mundane, tedious and generally unpleasant games I've ever played. The climbing puzzles are boring, the stories are cliche, the combat is rehashed year after year along with all of
the games mechanics and mission objectives, enemy AI is laughable.

It says a lot when the only good thing to say about a game is that "it looks good"

 

Black Flag was easily the best , next to 2. I loved AC 3 just for the colonial backdrop, very cool what they did there. I must confess during Unity in that rift level where you pop into Nazi occupied France I cheered out loud, was bad *** and would love
a AC game set during 1938-44.

 

My main gripe wit AC gams is the AI, it's always bad but it plumbed new depths of stupidity in Unity.

Got to say I think it does look good but I've never enjoyed ac games even the pirate one that was free I've barely touched think I'll just wait for this to be free as well lol

 

Mr Boozy, its ok , once you played a AC game you've really played them all. Not to say they are not fun or enjoyable as Ive said its one of my fav console franchises but lets be honest, they all kind of play out the same way,

 

If they didn't fix getting into windows I won't get it.

@Brandi They did fix it. You just press LB to get inside. I didn't really have an issue with it before but it's easier now.

 

I wouldn't like to name my GOTY just yet. Want to finish it off first plus there's a few other titles I want in the coming months but this will definitely be a contender for sure.

I'll say it again. It's surprised me so much ( in a good way ) I didn't really get into the last two AC titles and only really got this because I've always wanted one in a London setting.

Yes the setting, atmosphere is brilliant but it's just the whole package feels brilliant, story, side missions etc etc. I said it in a previous post, if the game carries on like this until the end I can easily seeing it become my favourite AC title and that's
high praise from me as AC2 is one of my all time favourite games.

 

That's good to know Defy. That was my main gripe about Unity. The fighting looks a lot better in this though. I also heard that they did away with multiplayer.

Is there a million chests to collect like before? That took so long to get them all before.

 

No multiplayer this time which suits me.

I've found quite a few chest already and as I buy the treasure maps there's tons more showing up on the map. A few gold ones have appeared also. Just need to make sure you spend some perk points on the lock picking so you can open the gold chests.

Spent a few hours last night just going around opening the chests. Worth doing as it gives you some helpful items, cash, weapons, crafting items ..

@Brandi Tons of collectibles. Not just chests though, there's like 6 different ones all with their respective achievements. I already bought all the maps but I imagine it will take as long as Unity.

Hey Defy, did Queen Victoria have an Apple of Eden in it? She was in those puzzles in ACII and III brandishing one on the end of her... wassit called. Orb-staff, thingy. Sceptre... thing.
