Annoying fan on Xbox One S

Hello,

I have a problem with the Xbox One S console bought in early February 2018.

From the beginning, an irritating sound came from the fan, so I sent it for warranty. When the console came back, it turned out that it was the same.

I reported the problem again and this time on the helpline I learned that the console was replaced with a new one.

Unfortunately, but the problem is also in this model.

An annoying whistle is emitted from the fan, which is heard from several meters (in the whole room).

I tried to play, but this whistle is very annoying, and watching a movie on a blu-ray at night is impossible.

What should I do in this situation? I have a console warranty, but she does not give anything.

Is the only solution is the independent replacement of the fan on a silent model?

In this case, I lose my warranty, but this guarantee is useless.

Xbox One S is a big disappointment for me - the console was supposed to be quiet and it is not.

I only lost money, time and nerves.

I have a weak microphone on the camera, so I recorded close up, but such a whistle is heard throughout the room. The noise of air is ok, the disk works quietly, but with this swish you can not stand in the room.

Xbox One S fan replacement

My Xbox One S fan is making a buzzing sound that are really annoying.

Are Microsoft offering a replacement fan for this console since this is a very known problem?

Fan noise

I'm noticing a slight buzzing/clicking sound coming from my Xbox One S fan. Is this normal? Should I be concerned? It isn't obnoxiously loud, just very annoying.

 

If you only bought it in early February why don’t you exchange it at the store you bought it?

If you got a replacement and it still does the same, tell them you want another one again.

The fan is supposed to be silent and certainly not make a whistle noise.

I made a serious mistake - instead of putting the console in the store, I called the store and decided to repair the warranty. I'm not sure that the second model of the console would not have a problem, but it is still my mistake (now the exchange in the
store is not possible).

When the console came back the first time, the problem persisted. The second time, the console was replaced, while the whistle is hard to bear.

I sent the console back for the third time - we'll see what will happen. In total, I lose one and a half month without a console (I also lost the month of the Xbox Live Gold account).

 

After one and a half month I got a quiet console. Unfortunately, after a few hours of work (downloading games, one match in FIFA and one race in Burnoat) the console suddenly turned off and I do not want to turn on.

Is this a joke? Another repair is waiting for me.

I hate Xbox for all this. I lost a lot of money, time and nerves. If the console returns efficiently, I will want to sell it to some idiot right away. I will never buy anything from the Xbox logo in my life.

 

Yeah, it seems as though Microsoft put a pretty crappy fan in the xbox one s. I've returned 3 or 4 systems and even went to different stores to try to get one from a different batch. Almost all of their fans sound fairly bad...but
each one in different ways. Some might sound kind of like a hissing sound, other might sound kind of like they are grinding or vibrating. How hard would it be for Microsoft to put a half way decent fan into these systems? I realize some people might not
notice these types of things or don't care as much...or they put their systems in places where they might not notice the noise, but fans in consumer electronics should be fairly quiet or you should only be able to barely hear the fan and mostly just some wind
noise. My PC with 2 or 3 fans going in it is even quieter...but then again I didn't put a garbage fan in there. The sad part is, if we keep buying poorly designed products or products with varying quality...that is what they'll keep selling us unfortunately.
Get it together Microsoft.

 

Thank you for your reply. My computer with 4 fans (two in the computer case, one on the processor and one from the power supply) works much more quietly than the Xbox One S.

I could pay a higher price for the Xbox One S if the fan would be quieter.

Now I will play only on the computer, I will try to forget about Microsoft consoles as soon as possible.
