Annoying Ban

I find it so odd that I can be called so many thing from the racist to damn right name calling, but the moment you send one message back and that person reports you then you get a communication ban. Ive been with xbox 3-4 years didn't think I would be on
the tail end of a annoying racist that can get me banned. So basically if someone is trash talking you or making fun of you don't send a message because even if you have other people who were getting the same treatment the support cant do "nothing". Well rip
im still staying with xbox but making a new account. Xbox can you make sure to get both sides before banning people?

Why are they punishing people for the Clan Tag buttons?

It is super annoying, and I hope they ban every one of the little idiots.

Two things you don't know what happens to the other person as it's none of your business

Nor will pet tell you

Two it doesn't matter who starts the fight you may not break the rules

Retaliating in anyway that violates the terms of use will still incur punishment

 

Unfortunately this is a common problem. I haven't received many abusive messages, but if I do receive one I either block/ignore/report or I reply with something overly nice, so the other person knows I'm being sarcastic but they can't report me for it.

It does suck that they don't seem to look at the context of what happened when a message is reported, like if I send you a bunch of abusive messages and you snap and send one back, if I report you, but you don't report me, it's only you that will get suspended,
not me. This is why these trolls do it, because they know that most people don't bother with reporting, so they want to bait them into sending a message which they can report.

 

The report button is there for a reason. If someone is using messaging or voice to call you names or say inappropriate things then simply report them and block them if they persist. Everyone you run into on live will be different and that is why there are
options like that added in.

 

I've read complaint threads in this forum about the punishments and I think Microsoft should straighten up their act! When your comment gets reported, they should look into the whole post and see who sent the troll comment first, and if they find that you
were commenting back because the troll provoked you, the microsoft team should put the troll in communications suspension.

It doesn't matter who starts the fight just like in school and in real life you break the rules your still get punished regardless who started it

Just block and ignore like everyone else said
