Anniversary update broke the Netflix voice commands

The Netflix voice commands are not working in Netflix since the update. Voice works everywhere else. This isn't the first time an update has done this to Netflix on my system. Is anyone using voice successfully in Netflix since the update?

New Netflix App - Voice Commands (GONE!)

I was upgraded to the new Anniversary update on my Xbox One yesterday afternoon. Soon after a new Netflix app replaced my existing one. I only navigate around Netflix using my voice so I used my voice to navigate around the app. Nothing was working!
There weren't any GREEN LETTERS in any of the tiles to help navigate around the app! So I picked up the phone:

1. Called Netflix.
2. Netflix support engineer said that voice commands are native to Xbox so I need to call Microsoft.
   
3. Called Microsoft.
4. Support Engineer had me perform the following troubleshooting steps:
   
   1. Clear Disk Storage Cache (x4)
   2. Uninstall Netflix App.
   3. Reinstall Netflix App.
   4. Remove my Xbox profile.
   5. Create my Xbox profile.
   6. Disable Cortana and revert to Xbox commands.
   7. Try voice commands in other applications (Tried in Groove Music - works)
   8. Support Engineer said Netflix is the issue and to call them.
      
      1. Called Netflix support and requested an engineer.
      2. Engineer stated that Netflix only provides API's and that Microsoft wrote app and to call them.
         
         1. Called Microsoft.
         2. Recapped the current situation with a Microsoft Support Rep.
         3. Rep escalated the issue with management and I am expecting a follow up call in the future.
            

Therefore, Microsoft broke all voice commands in the new Netflix app that ships with the Anniversary update. Thank you to all Insiders, preview members and internal QA that did *** in finding this issue as you tested the app.

None of the release notes highlight that this feature is missing.

Now I must have a controller in hand whenever I am in another room to control the Netflix application. First gestures, now this. R.I.P. to multitasking.

 

Netflix/Hulu voice commands not working

Since downloading the new update I can no longer use "Xbox select" (and "hey Cortana") to control Hulu and Netflix. Was this removed or is it broken? I definitely miss it voice commands are my favorite aspects of watching streaming videos on Xbox,

 

I posted this already here on the forums. A mod told me to go xbox voice and request a new feature. Such bs to request an existing feature.

UWP is going to break voice commands since windows and other non Xbox platforms don't support it. Its a xbox only feature. Next wave is Pandora and groove music. Just watch. All broken soon.

 

Yeah. I saw you post and saw that it had been locked which is also BS. That's why I started another thread.

I also looked at the feedback forum and I agree, it's an avenue for suggesting new features not for getting broken things fixed. The last time this happened to Netflix there was a long running thread here on this forum and it eventually did get taken care
of.

 

The achievements are broken too just started a 30day trial and no achievements poppin and yes I can still see the achievement list in the snap guide
