Anniversary Fable a let down? Please say it will be fixed soon.

Yes, this game is a little disappointing so far (Fable 1 was my least favorite of the series). My key complaints are...

1) Freezing - I had my 360 hard freeze 3 times in the first 8 hours (or so of play time) where I actually had to pull the plug on the console because the power button wouldn't turn it off. There were a few soft freezes too I think.

2) Loading - it seems this game is always loading whenever you go from one small area to the next

3) Frame rate drops

4) Inconsistent lighting in some parts goes between a light and darker image

5) Clumsy interface (at least the default one for expressions, going through that annoying semi-menu system)

- The fishing mini-game, not different from the original I just strongly, strongly dislike it

 

1) It freezes a bit to much for my liking

2) What framerate issues, I have absolutely none

3) Smartglass (the app itself) is slow. my Droid Ultra with the 8core processor seems to drag it along or smartglass drags my Ultra along it's odd.

4) Lighting/shadows work fine

5) Interface is virtually unchanged since Fable debuted, some parts are better some are not. The follow issues still exist that isn't new to the remastered version. Fishing still sucks.

 

I too am getting the constant freezing, clearing the cache has not helped me. The game has now actually become unplayable. I am at the point where i put the third soul in the archon thing and the gates open. As soon as i hit the A button on the quest
completion 1 of 2 things happen. Either the entire screen goes black and i cannot see anything, casting spells and using melee still work but hitting down for the guild seal does nothing, just gives the sound that you are using it.

Or the other thing that happens is i will be able to walk to the beonze gate and right before i enter it as the gates are opening to let me in the entire console freezes up and must be rebooted. I thought my console was over heating as it did feel hot.
But i just tried it from a cold state and the same resilts are happening. I cannot even load my chr now as it just puts me back to the same check point of the cut scene of releasing the third soul.

 

Mine froze quite early on I think I’m going to give it another go !

 

I believe its SmartGlass causing the problem (at least that was the case for me). Once I turned that off the game ran good for me. I noticed at some points the framerate would drop but other than that no serious problems for me.

I've ordered this from Amazon. Being that I will be a new gamer to the Fable Anni, will I still need to do a cache clean or can I just update and start from scratch?
