Anniversary Fable a let down? Please say it will be fixed soon.

Game keeps freezing and the frame rate stinks. Xbox glass wont load either. I hope they fix this soon. I really want to play this (again). Long time fan. Anniversary is so far a let down. I hope this isn't just me and it is fixed soon.

Fable anniversary. I not sure that many are looking forward to playing a remake bit I can't wait.

I agree. Frame rate drops are giving me a headache and it has now frozen on me twice ;( GameFaqs forum has post of people having similar problem so it's not just us.

I was looking forward to playing this again but looks like it's getting shelved until a fix.

 

I am having the same problem. I could only play it for 10 min. Before getting too sike to continue. Never got sick like that while playing a game before. Do they actually test these things? You would think that their testers whould have noticed this. I have
the latest 360 too so that cant be an issue.

 

Way to drop the ball on this. Lionhead and MS should be ashamed. Making me fall out of love with such a wonderful game.

 

Agreed. Had high expectations for the game but so far, a let down. Haven't noticed any frame rate drops, but have had the game freeze twice (and only played twice). Also I been able to connect to smartglass but it took awhile this last time. Please fix
soon!

 

I can't believe that after all the hype they gave this remastering they would release it with all these issues. Shameful. Lionhead has lost a fan.

 

ive had the same problems with major freezing, in fact i havent even played the game due to it freezing before it gets to the title screen. they really dropped the ball on this one, i am a huge fan of the original and was very excited for this remake but
not i just want my money back but i cant get that either because the packaging is off the game to i cant return it, so basically i have a 40 dollar paperweight

 

I have only had the game freeze on me one time and that was with Smartglass app on while playing it. After I logged out of the app the game was fine.

 

Frame rate is awful and the game has frozen on me a couple of times.

 

Lionhead said to try to fix the issue, delete the system cache, restart the game and sit at the title screen for 5 minutes to let the cache reform. Worked for me and had no further freezing issues but I could have just been lucky. Might be worth a shot
though,

 

I am thinking it might have something to do with smart glass. Played without it today and no freezing.

 

I just beat the game and had no freezes. The frame rate suffered at times and encountered one sound glitch. Still had a blast though.

 

I've noticed several issues, they clearly didn't do any quality testing.

1) The frame rate is horrible, sometimes it'll literally skip and I think the games freezing.

2) Obviously the freezing! I've lost count how many times now, it's over 20. Sometimes two or three times in a row within an hour or so. The only way to fix this is to restart the system. Nothing is more infuriating than having to replay parts of a game
just to get back to where you were, sucks the fun right out of it.

3) Interacting with people isn't easy at all. The wait and follow commands simply don't work. After four tries getting someone to follow me (and them saying "Lets go Hero") they don't have the follow sign above their head and will walk away. It takes several
tries to get this to finally work.

4) The DLC weapons and outfits were disappointing. Some of its cool, I just didn't realize EVERYTHING was being put into stores, some of which is very pricy! I thought they'd be hidden around Albion or something for you to find. So basically I paid to get
to pay to use my dlc content.

5) I was really hoping they'd have fixed the issue with collecting rent. I know it's no different than the original where you had to run around to every house in every town to collect rent, but this was built on in Fable II and III, I'm sure this wouldn't
have been too difficult to add. Real estate is the only real way to afford the crazy priced armor and weapons and this one feature would greatly improve gameplay.

6) The graphics look great but they don't seem to completely load right way sometimes. Everything will have this plastic look without much detail before it finally finishes loading. It'll do this running around towns or even in the menus. I understand some
lag in games, but this is extremely noticeable.

7) The guild seal needs to be easier to use. If there's any people around me at all the game has a tough time figuring out if I'm telling them to follow or load the teleporting menu. It works but seems to take twice as long.

All in all it's a great game (after fixing the quality and stability issues) with even more potential. I think with the frame rate and freezing fixed, and having rent automatically added to your inventory this would be the perfect remake of the classic Fable
game.
