Android Xbox Streaming app doesn't set up after sign in

I can turn it on using the android app as well as the windows 10 app. Are all the game sharing/ streaming setting set properly on your console? also make sure all your apps are up to date. But I do think its your console settings.

@Ricardo i have tried the following

- rebooting pc and xbox

- reinstall the companion app in windows 10

- put the xbox one powerless for 20 hours

- reset the xbox to factory settings

- today i even had to fill in the ip address of the xbox since it couldnt even find it suddenly

- rebooted the router

- updated window 10 a few days ago

i've tried everything i could think of, but no luck.

strange because it used to work fine, when i pressed stream a green screen would come up but now i keep getting:

To continue, sign in on your console using this account.

also when i press test streaming i do hear the sound of the game that's playing, and also i can stream on my phone with the xbox app, but why not on the pc ?

i am 100% sure i signed in with the same ms account on xbox and the companion app. even tried another account, makes no difference.

please help !

UPDATE: in have bluestacks to install android apps in win 10 and the xbox app in android streams fine, it's not a perfect solution but for the time being i can stream, but still want a solution for win10

You'll want to download and use the Xbox App for Android. From there you can change your Microsoft Account, and it should reflect that change in the Xbox Live enabled games on Android (Age of Empires, Wordament, Minecraft, Solitaire, etc). You can sign
out and switch accounts in Settings in the Xbox App.

If you have questions about that process, or it doesn't work for you, let us know and we can check some other steps.

*Also sign out of your Xbox if you were streaming when this error occured and then sign back in after signing in to the Xbox App

I would be very disappointed if it doesn't. The official SkyDrive Apps on my iPad and my Android phone can stream both music and video, so I should say the Xbox app should be able to do the same.
