    My Xbox one app on android won't let me message friends. I get the message saying feature blocked, modify privacy settings go to Xbox.com

    I have searched but can't find the correct setting to modify. Please help.

    no connection to Live

    You may need a Port Forwarding app as your Android Phone acting as a Hotspot is not giving you a full connection, traffic for port 3074 is being blocked or delayed.

    Blocking on the Xbox android app

    It shouldn't do so, no. Blocking on the Xbox App works the same as on a console or PC...you block them and they get blocked but do not get notified.

    If someone was notified, then they could get their friends to harass the blocker etc.

    As you can see on the official page, blocking on all platforms does the same thing (although I believe an Xbox 360 is slightly different):

    Sorry to hear about the issue! Have you tried removing and blocking the user using the Xbox One SmartGlass app on either iOS, Android, or Windows Phone?
