And what happened to my Achievements???

I played a few games and unlocked a ton of achievements before hooking my xbox to xbox live. Now, most of my achievements are missing. Anyone know why? Thanks in advance for any help.

What happened to my account?

Hello, your "profile" is your "gamertag" if it was an online profile. If you had a different gamertag previously, from the looks of your post I'm guessing it was "Roguemant". You will need to download your profile using the e-mail and password associated
with that account. If you can't remember what that e-mail address is you will need to contact phone support and speak with them about this.

Each gamertag can only have one e-mail attached to it, so you would need to use the e-mail associated with the gamertag "Roguemant" to be able to download that "profile" to your XBOX 360 console. If you have access to your previous XBOX still and that that
account is still accessible on that console you will be able to view what e-mail is on that gamertag by going to the XBOX 360 Dashboard > Settings > Account > Manage > Windows Live ID. The e-mail should be listed there, login with that e-mail.

 

What happened to my Gamertag?

Hey FlaminNimrod! Are you sure that's the error code you're receiving? As there are typically only 8 digit error codes, perhaps there is a 0 missing in there? If you could check and make sure that would be great!



To address the issue of this alternate Gamertag 'WalkingPurse4', I'd suggest logging into the account on your console and changing the Microsoft Account email associated with it. This will hopefully free up your old account to continue to use the email address
you had attached to it!



To change the email associated with that Microsoft Account you can take these steps:

• Navigate to the Settings Hub (far right on the dashboard) and select Account.
  
• Navigate to Your Information panel and select Account Security.
• Select Change Microsoft Account.
• Select Yes once you have created a new Microsoft Account.
• Enter the password for your current Microsoft Account.
• Enter the Microsoft Account and password you would like to use.
• Complete the prompts to save your change.

When you say your achievements are missing, where do they not show up, on here xbox.com or on your console?

I have noticed in the past that when achievements are unlocked it can take a few days before they show up on your profile page here.

 

Actually, both. Over the past year, I spent around 200 hours playing Fallout 3 and, since creating an Xbox Live account, the achievements disappeared on my console. I noticed it first on my profile here so I checked my console and *POOF!*... gone.

 

Are you using the same profile??

I am using the same account. But before I joined Xbox live, I had a whole bunch of achievements in Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas. In Fallout 3, one that disappeared was one I remember most vividly. "Those!" was hysterical because I used a grenade to blow
up a giant ant, it flew up in the air, landed on a shed roof and slowly slid off, almost like it was using real physics when sliding. "Those!" is one that disappeared. I beat both games and even restarted both going in a different direction but now Fallout
3 says I only have like 3 achievements but I had most of them. Idk... Just a little annoying that they all disappeared.

 

I have to agree with BongKaos here. Are you sure its the same profile?

Did you upgrade your offline profile or accidentally create a new one?

Go to Settings - Storage - pick your storage device - Profiles. Do you see one profile there or two?

 

When you first created your tag/account did you take advantage of the free month of live ? Also , have you re-downloaded your profile to a different/new console recently ?

 

Only created one account. Just opened it a few days ago. No upgrading, no dupes, no alternates, no one else uses my console, same Xbox it was created on, no free month gold thing, just the one free live account.

 

So you just opened this account a few days ago right....

I would have to say , either you did NOT get the achievements, Or you are being untruthful.

Nobody here can help you anyway.

Wow. First of all, I was asking as others may have encountered this issue and may have an answer to what may have caused it. I have no reason to lie, no one to impress and I couldn't care what most people think of me in the real world, let alone in a forum.
And, btw, I'm 43. I was playing Colossal Cave Adventure on a Heathkit computer long before Zenith bought Heathkit and Radio Shack/Tandy hadn't even conceived of the CoCo (TRS-80 Color Computer). I started using computers when the closest thing to the public
internet was something called a bulletin board system (BBS) running software like WWIV and Renegade and operated a multiport on Linux (ask your parents should you lack the knowledge of such archaic environments). I didn't start playing Xbox until I received
an older 360 for free 2 years ago because I was not going to pay a few hundred dollars on something that I could do on my pc.

If that's not enough proof that asking my mom and dad would be pointless, check my spelling and grammar. The only information you have given me is an insight to the immaturity I can expect when seeking answers here.

At your age you should know achievements do not make the gamer...... 1190 is the proper score.

You do know the difference between support and general discusion I assume....

2 years on xbox--{as you said) means this is NOT the same account This one is only a few days old right???

 

It is the only Xbox Live account I created and the avatar was the one I used for offline play. The achievements were my own accomplishments, not for competition with anyone else. I do know the difference between discussion and support, however it is my experience
that most responses are scripted and tend to attempt to dissuade the customer from thinking there could possibly be anything wrong with their magnificent device. General discussion tends to find actual answers discovered by those tired of the brush-off given
by most CSRs. I know as I did tech support for 2 decades and wrote several tech docs and gave scripted responses.

If the achievements were based on the Xbox Live account, how did so many of the Fallout:New Vegas achievements transfer (only a handful lost) but so many Fallout 3 did not make it?

And my exact words were "I played a few games and unlocked a ton of achievements..." If you want to quote someone, quote accurately.

Bragging about outdated tech helps your question in manny ways, Or maybe not. For instance I built a 286 IBM- Learned CAD/CAM in school and install Water jet systems......

Now that helps a lot ... I could be wrong though.

Next, I would ask for proof of this claim......
