Im still gonna play a bit more but I think the beta just saved me money. Its alright just don't really see this lasting me longer than a week or two.

ive heard that there is no loot just laying around, like borderlands you could try to get to places and find crates to loot, i hope the reports are wrong otherwise exploration is boring

 

I've played just over an hour and i'm not very impressed. It's not blown me away at all.

It's got the look and sound of Halo and the concept and layout of Mass Effect, but without the substance of either. Should have been a winning formula but it's not.

I will continue on with the beta and hope I change my mind but, first impressions usually stick.

 

I am not a Halo fan so I was wanting this game to be more like Borderlands but I am not so sure now. It looks nice and the controls are tight but I cant shake the Halo feeling. I hope it gets better latter.

PS: It almost took 3 hours to download, are all digital games like this?

 

Haters gunna hate but I love it because I'm a long term Halo fan and you can tell Bungie has made it even though it's quite different to Halo. Just the way your character runs and jumps and some things you notice in the environment that remind you of Halo.

I also like MMOs and although the Xbox One beta doesn't have a great deal of players in the world it's nice to see other players out in the world and be able to interact with them. Despite what everyone says I think it will be a very solid game for many
years to come.

 

The game looks and acts like a reskinned Halo 4 IMO.

@Lord Dirt no all digital games are not like this beta. Coming from someone who is all digital the beta took extremely long to download. I deleted COD once and had it redownloaded in 2.5 hours and thats triple the size of the beta.

I say it's a modernized Halo (ADS) meets Borderlands (open area FPS co-op) mixed with Defiance (MMOish) with a dash of Mass Effect (space ships & planets with biotic powers).

It plays great on the XB1, minus the party chat issue, which is what matters to me most.

I won't hype the game up tho. It will keep me entertained while I wait for the real gems to be released.

 

I started the download somewhere around 7 or 8 and it didn't finish until midnight.
