@ Electro.... I guess I can kinda see that for some, not wanting to let go of the past. I just never cared for that. Once and done and where's the new stuff has been more my speed.

 

I like remakes because it keeps our favourite games alive and not a distant memory, also with games like the MC collection, it's not just about the game itself, but the fun times I can see myself having as I haven't had much fun with Halo online since Halo
3 so to get some original halo multiplayer action back, with an active community to boot means a lot to me.

 

It's not about "not wanting to let go of the past". It's playing game's you know you like. We all like new game's.... Unfortunately, new doesn't always mean good. Plus the added value you get from the remastered bundles. I'm not personally interested in
the MC Halo collection but there's no denying it isn't excellent value for money.

 

The fact is Mgz, games are on borrowed time these days. Their servers are shut down, their update support ended... some games are simply too precious to simply watch them fade. The Gears or War trilogy for me is something far too special to let it be forgotten.
A big Xbox One remake with fully supported Multiplayer across all the maps (Pretty sure there are at least 60) with Horde mode lovingly woven into each of them would breathe new life into it. I could go into a gears of war lobby without being kicked because
people are having freaking sniper duels.

 

Mass Effect, Gears Of War and Ninja Gaiden would be fine.

 

Gears collection would be awesome, the joy of Bulletmarsh, Clocktower, Canals and Gridlock! Oh yes! Gears of War 2 as well but they can keep the MP of GOW3!

#1 reason for me would be nostalgia. I'd still playing the old CoDs over the newer ones if they weren't overrun by unsavory characters

 

@Bow...maybe it's a generational thing. I think back at some of the games I played pushing 40 years back. There were a lot of amazing memories.

You bring up a good point though. Thinking of the BF series...BC2 was probably the best. Their following games....well yeah not near as good.

Maybe the nostalgia lies in the fact the devs may rest on their laurels and put out sub par games after they have a hit, relying on sales by name alone. Then after we play them we wish for the old ones back?

 

A Knights of the Old Republic collection would be spiffy.

 

I would rather like to see a classic collection, mix it up a bit. Gears of War, Mass Effect and a Fallout. Or maybe a Bioshock collection. I doubt it will ever happen though.

KOTOR rerelease leading to an all new KOTOR!!!! Indeed.

 

All the Elder scrolls games remaster with Fallout 4 engine when it comes out. Also that the only one I would want I want new ips/games not old ones.

 

For me Gears and Bioshock would be awesome!!
