    It's finally happened...analog stick drift on a new shock blue series x controller I bought alongside my Xbox series x. Right stick drifts upward. Issue showed up a couple weeks after purchasing and while I was aware this is a widespread issue since 2014, I was lucky enough to have never experienced it. Assuming I had a one year warranty, I waited to contact Microsoft and used the standard controller that came with the console. After reaching out to Microsoft support I'm left absolutely speechless. I was told I was outside my 90 day warranty. Which I was unaware such a short warranty even existed in the first place . A freakin toaster has one year warranty for God's sake. After accepting that fact, I asked for a repair even if that meant me paying out of pocket(despite that being insane for a known defect). I was then told Microsoft does not repair Xbox Series X controllers specifically outside of warranty and that I simply had to....buy a new one. I had to ask again that I heard this correctly because I couldn't believe what I was hearing. You spend 500 plus dollars on their new console but if your controller doesn't work, oh well throw it out and give them more money. Not even an option to fix it. Considering they stated they will fix Xbox one and elite controllers, Microsoft is clearly trying to avoid this issue and sweep it under the rug. As we all are aware of the current lawsuit, it is still amazing to me that a company thinks they can screw over customers with these shady policies and expect to keep customers. I'm no Karen nor have I ever posted in this community but this was so beyond unforgivable that I had to reach out. This obviously isn't a question but a statement and plea that Microsoft does the right thing. Even Nintendo has addressed this finally and is repairing Joycon drift for free and outside of policy. Depsite the fact I've never had analog drift on multiple PS or Nintendo controllers. I never expected this from Microsoft who I've supported for years. Might be time to reconsider.

    I find it a bit funny that people look back on the 360 controller so fondly. Sure I didn't have any that just stopped working completely but I did have 2 with broken mic jacks and a bunch with drifting analog sticks.

    The early 360 white controllers were good but they cheeped out later on and produced junk analog sticks that would only last a few months before they would start drifting.

    I'm fine with the X1 controller but the analog sticks seem to still be prone to drifting. They need to beef the analog sticks up but I don't see that happening it's a way for them to sell more controllers.
