Analog Stick Drift

I'm sure I will just receive the standard copy and paste reply to this but I now have THREE Xbox One controllers that are having issues with left analog stick drift. The original controller that came with my Xbox One and the first replacement I bought are
unusable as one constantly drifts forward and the second drifts to either the left, down or forward and is virtually unresponsive when pushing towards the right. The third controller, which I only bought back in early December is now starting to experience
forward drift and it gets worse the more that I use it.

Before you give me the standard response, my batteries are charged, my controller is updated, the controller as well as the console have been restarted. It's a matter of a poorly made controller. It's a little ridiculous that in less than a year I've had to
spend an additional $120 on controllers due to the fact that they wear out so quickly. I'm really close to taking my 360, One and all my Microsoft stuff and trading it in and switching to Sony because I'm getting tired of having to spend my hard earned money
on cheap products that don't work right after three months of use.

koreankamikazi I have the same drifting problem with the left stick. now the right stick is doing the same thing. plus the a button does not work while iam at the dashboard but it does work in game. it has done this on 2 cotrollers. we are out of luck because
the warranty is only 90 days so they have our money and have made it very clear to me that they will not repace it. I will not not buy another controller because to be quite honest I cant afford it because iam disabled. I was able to return the second controller
to gamestop and get my money back. never again microsoft

 

I bought my console the day the Chief Collection was released (which was a massive disappointment) and I'm already getting the controller issue. I wouldn't mind if I'd spent hours on the thing, but there are no games to play that work! I'd say a maximum
of 50 hours use.

The pad is in mint condition, the stick sits at zero, this must be software.

 

Since the Xbox One does not support recalibration of the Xbox One controller your stick will keep drifting, this is a hardware and not a software issue. Through friction the sensitive parts inside the stick mechanism shift/move/wear out giving it a false
reading which makes it drift.

If you use it on pc you can just keep using it, you just have to recalibrate the sticks, as this is compensated by the software on your pc this will not carry over to your xbox

The only solution is to send it off to repair, but it might be better to buy a new one

 

Voted, thanks. However this wasn't the solution I'd like.

If PS4 had the MCC I'd be gone. I'd rather spend £350 on a new console than keep buying £40 controllers that don't work after a few month.

no actually i have gone through 9 in just a four month period and i am a light gamer and they failed all

 

I've had the same 360 controller for over 3 years. And as I stated in my first post I've probably played less than 50 hours on it.

 

This is a common issue but 9 in 4 months is a bit much, also you can ship accessories off to repair as they have a 90day warranty

Left stick drifting up (no left, right or down)

I have 2 controllers with the same problem.

 

Microsoft rep at the end told me to just buy a new controller. Looking into getting a PS4 at the end of the year.

 

My right stick started messing up less than a year after getting the controller. It starts to drift up randomly. Now I have to go back to my day one controller which has loose sticks and isn't as responsive. Is there a fix for this? Seems like a game changer.
I don't want to have to pay 60 bucks every 9 months to a year just to play my games.
