Analog directional wireless control is drifting

I want to assume that you're describing a "drift" in the controller analog stick.

My very first controller experienced this after playing a lot of BF4. In order to run, you had to press down the analog stick, many times while holding the analog stick in a certain direction to keep moving.

If this is present the PC settings will show as if you're holding it down in a slight direction at all times when left sitting. You could attempt to have the controller replaced..... myservices.xbox.com

Nothing you can do to fix it, it is a VERY common problem with all 360 controllers, not just the special edition ones. Definitely take it back and exchange it. For me, once I had to go through 3 separate controllers to get one that didn't do this (searching
the archives of these very forums might reveal my old thread about it), only on the left stick so that I constantly shuffled to the side when trying t stand still. You just gotta keep returning them until you get one that works, simple as that. When it happened
to me 3 controllers in a row Best Buy was really cool about it. They said they see it all the time and simply exchanged all 3 for me until I had one that worked correctly. But it was a pain to have to keep going back to the store. A couple of years later,
controller died, got a new one, and guess what? Left stick drift (GRRRRRRR). Luckily the second time around one exchange was all it took, but jeez...I love my 360 and the game available, I really do...but there are SO MANY hardware issues with the box itself
and with it's accessories. The old original Xbox and it's accessories were tanks...heavy and brutish but tough as nails.

Can't you take it back to where you bought it? As long as you have a receipt, all accessories should be covered by a 90 day warranty.

my controller no matter what seems to drift the analog stick has literally no play but yet it drifts. for fortnite it goes straight up but for forza the camera is directed to the left and when I do test it on miscrosofts app it only drifts up and not to
the left

Yeah I hate when that happens too. You could go on youtube and find a way to open the controller to fix. But I wouldn't recommend it, only advise is to buy a new one sadly.

Drifting one direction. I can clearly see the stick get stuck when moving the analog stick. It doesnt reset to the middle. Ever. Disappointed. Fustrated. Using my old controller after the joy of receiving a new one is just a let down..
