An Xbox Live Membership limitation does not allow you at access this feature

I keep getting this error message whenever I try to go online on Madden 25 (Xbox one.) I am a gold member. Please help!

Ive played madden online before. Now im getting this message

 

Sounds like you're a minor who has parental restrictions set up on the account.

 

I am a minor, but I am on custom, and I have allowed everything (multiplayer, going online, etc.) No parental restrictions.

 

Ah, EA game... EA has age-gate restrictions on many of their titles. You will not be able to play the game on an EA server if you're below that age-gate.

 

What is the age restriction?

 

It ranges between 13 to 18. I do believe their sports titles are 18.

 

I am an adult and I am still getting this. any suggestions?

please do not bump old threads, Stacks you need a gold membership (your tag is silver/free) to play online.

 

Hi, I am trying to get this possible fix for this issue on Xbox One out there. I have been dealing with this for months and last night I had a breakthrough with the help of a rep from Xbox live. So, I was one of the lucky people who bought the Xbox One
when it was released, and had to return it to get a new system because of the CD issue. Here is the crazy thing, when they sent me the new one I added my account and started playing. However, we found out that the other Xbox that I returned was setup as
my home Xbox. Here is the fix.

1) login with the Parent Account only

2) go into settings

3) at the bottom on the left is Xbox Settings I think click on it

4) You will see something that says "Make this my Xbox" or "This isn't my Xbox" - Click on "Make this my Xbox".

Do this for all Xbox accounts and it will start working.

Reason is because your Xbox Live account is associated with the Xbox that you sent back into Microsoft. As soon as you set the Xbox to your Xbox, it will start sharing your Live.

Another symptom of this issue is that no other account can play games that have been downloaded to the system. Games with Gold. After this fix now my son can play online and any downloadable content that I have.
