    Hello,

    I'm reaching out to the Public Community "specifically for Xbox Games and Apps" because I feel like a few things are happening with how I try to access content on the home dashboard and a few apps in general. Ever since last Saturday, i've had these weird
    glitches or freeze ups where when I try to use the Spotify music streaming app, the app opens, but never loads up, and then decides to freeze my Xbox One (the basic Xbox One console that i've had since Halo 5: Guardians launched). And then the same issue also
    happens but with the Xbox Store on the dashboard. Whenever I try to load up a item I want to install or simply look at its reviews, my console freezes for a bit and sends me back to the home screen, or I have to restart my console.

    It's sort of frustrating to have this start happening now since I've never had issues with my console up until now. I've also consistently re checked the Xbox Live Service Status on the Xbox website and also Xbox Assist, but neither of those helped either.

    Any feedback, tips, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey Atomic Bomb,

    Thanks for the quick response. A factory reset may fix this if it is software related. The console saves the general settings and can be applied once the reset is done. Your Gamerscore, profile, etc is tied to your Gamertag so as long as you can log back
    in, you should be good.

    What does a factory reset do? If I attempt it, will I keep be able to keep my general settings, Xbox profile, gamerscore, and everything else?

    I've tried Hard Resetting my console within 20 somethings attempts in the course of 1-2 days/nights and the same issues were occurring.

    I'm assuming that you've already tried a
    Hard reset/Power cycle
    on the console. However, if not. I'd say to give it a shot.

    If you're still experiencing the same issues afterwards. You may want to try performing a

    Reset to factory defaults
    while keeping your games and apps installed.

    Thank you for reaching out. For these various issues, we recommend you try performing a

    factory reset
    while keeping your games and apps. Make sure you have your email and password as you will be asked to sign back in.

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select All Settings.
    4. Select System.
    5. Select Console info & updates.
    6. Select Reset console.
