*An opportunity for Xbox One to dominate*

I would not mind that at all, the problem I have is an older laptop with Vista, and my wife has a laptop with Windows 7, if they extend it to any Windows package, great, but it may isolate a lot too, but, it is a great idea.

Missed Xbox One Preview Opportunity

I am a loyal Microsoft customer that missed the preview when it was available. I have a windows phone, RT tablet, and windows gaming pc. I have been involved in the windows phone preview program and I love it. Can someone from Microsoft hook a brother up
with the preview program for xbox one? My gamertag is .

The preview program is now full, and there is not much chance of being added to the program at the moment. Invitations to the preview program also cannot be sent over the support forums, as you will need a friend who is already in the program to invite you
- but like I said, they aren't really accepting new people into the program.

 

I would get behind some form of this, have you submitted this on the xb1 uservoice?

If only the xb1 could run more than one instance of a game without exploding this would be a cool way to implement family share. just put a cap on how many gamertags can be on one console.

You're probably right though, but damn I'd love to stream some of my 360 arcade games to a hand held or phone or something!

 

Within the home yes, but even the vita doesn't perform as advertised away from the console situation.

 

I think most people would simply find it easier to install their games directly onto their PCs and/or laptops and not even bother with the console to begin with. Even though it is an interesting idea in theory, I doubt the quality of the stream would make
it feasible (at least for now). On top of that, I don't know many people who would carry a full-fledged game controller around just so they can play on the go.

 

Your idea is very flawed, and here is why....

Casual gamers who have a PC/laptop dont have a powerful enough rig to run xbox games. And if you think millions upon millions are going to run out upgrade their laptops to play games on the go you are wrong.

What really is going to help Xbox dominate is software. When people start to realize Xbox has the big games, more people will flock to it.

The machine receiving the feed to play the game doesn't need to be powerful at all. No one would be required to upgrade their PC/Laptop to play the Xbox One game as the client machine wouldn't do any of the graphics processing. All the client will get
is a video feed of the host machine. All the client machine needs to do is send back the controller instructions to the host hardware.

This is how the PS Vita plays PS4 games. Steam can also do this too now, although only via a local network connection.

 

All they need to do is pump out good games. The majority of people who buy the console are gamers anyway.

 

Steam already offer a similar service. It works.
