An idea to help reduce combat stick drift

There's an option in the settings to combat analogue drift. Enable/disable it and see if that helps.

Most of the time stick drift is irreversible. Try the compressed air method to clean it out first, but don't open up the controller as that will void any warranties.

Some game shops will open them up for you, but that can cost as much as just buying a new controller.

If you can, making the deadzone on the sticks bigger (in some games' settings) can reduce the drift.

I wouldn't be too terribly worried about a little drift one time--sometimes sticks get pushed a bit to one side when you set the controller down. If it starts happening consistently, then you should consider repair/replacement.

Grips peel by the 3 month mark.

Stick tension is so low that the longer sticks are a detriment to your aim.

Seems to be a stick drift, im guessing your warranty was already over because you decided to open the controller, but the best options in this cases are

1.- try to update the controller, even if the system says it's already updated you can anyway press on update and sometimes this helps a little bit

2.- some FPS hace a setting to adjust dead zone, you could try adjusting it to reduce the drift

Reducing the range of the Sawed-Off Shotgun would still keep it a lethal close combat weapon, but would help reduce the amount of BS that goes along with it.
