An Army of Nazi Zombies? Yes, please!

Post war Germany has banned the open display of the Swastika.

It's illegal to display one in Germany, even in your video game.

For "Sniper Elite 3" that meant removing the Swastika from the Afrika Korps symbol for the European release.

This meant they didn't have to fuss over what they sent to Germany vs what they sent to the rest of Europe.

This isn't the first time that a company has done this.

Bethesda's "Wolfenstein" manages to take place throughout World War II without displaying a Swastika so they don't upset the Germans and the re-mastered hidden "Return To Castle Wolfenstein" level is censored so the Swastikas don't appear (and I think the
pictures of Hitler are gone too).

My UK version is not censored and I imagine it's the same for the American version.

It's an 18+ game and most of us know that *** are bad, Zombies are bad and Nazi Zombies are even worse so it's nice that they've managed to preserve a bit of an original "Return To Castle Wolfenstein" feel with this title.

 

Played more co-op on this last night. Not far off finishing Episode 1 and it's just so much fun.

We tried the Horde Mode and first try we got absolutely hammered lol, second try and bit further, this one is going to take some thought

 

Great game, if a little repetitive but it's just good mind numbing shooting

Tried horde solo - awesome but very hard, managed to get to level 6 in the alleyway one but ran out of mines and got demolished lol

 

Marknally, every time I see your name I think of McNally map books...from the 70s and 80s.

 

Haven't got a clue about those maps Doc, guess it's a U.S thing looking at Google? I was made in the 70s though

Still loving this game though. Me and a mate got about 4 more levels to do in co-op then it's onto the Horde Mode!

I've nearly completed the first campaign solo on sniper elite difficulty, though I'm not sure how I'd fair on the third campaign, that was pretty brutal on the lowest difficulty, haha.

I'm also interested to see how far I could go solo on the horde mode, the lowest difficulty and enemy spawns on 1 player was pretty tough when I was doing it with 3 players, but that was when we were still getting used to the game.

 

^ Some of the levels even in co-op we have found tricky but never to the point where it's got frustrating. You just need a little patience and tread carefully lol

 

I'll have to try this game out looks good.
