An adult sent explicit messages to my 16 yo daughter

I know the first thing I'm going to hear is that I should report them, but i've been reporting them for 2 weeks now and nothing has happened. I even put a video of the things they sent my daughter on YouTube but it was "harassing" somehow and got removed.
I called support countless times, still nothing. I blocked them but they make new accounts to talk to her. If I set her privacy to "friends only" then she can't play multiplayer games effectively because she can't hear her teammates that aren't her friends.
I've heard other parents having an issue about their kids THAT ARE MINORS being sent these kinds of messages FROM ADULTS and xbox does nothing! Very displeased with Xbox and if nothing is done about this then we are moving to Playstation! Sick of it!

Just keep blocking for now. I'm believe that this would be considered cyber bullying so you may be able to take legal action. Though I don't how you do this. Good luck.

 

Cyber bullying is against the law in United States so u can go to your local police department and report him

I'm going to try to point you in the right direction for help (Apologies in advance if it doesn't get you very far). The Xbox Enforcement Team are the people who oversee all filed complaints, etc. I'm not sure if this is happening on the Xbox 360 or Xbox
One, but the Enforcement Team is pretty active on the Xbox One Forum and I think you would get attention faster through there than posting it on here.

You can change the settings to the account to where only friends can send her messages, and she will still be able to play online with the rest of the Xbox community. The below link will tell you how to do so (if you don't all ready)

Not excusing what these dirtbags do online but you will find the same kind of sleaze in the PS world too... best bet is to keep reporting. And decide if the harassment outweighs the "ability to hear teammates". If so privacy.

I just witnessed an adult of around 25 show his *** to my 8 year old son on Video Kinect. He disconnected as quick as I reacted. I called support and their advice was go to a forum and block him, never even asking for his gamer
tag, [Mod Removed]. But how does this prevent this from occurring again? I'm enraged how disgusting this individual is, and the lack of response from Xbox support. I'm now looking to contact local police, media, and FBI internet
division. I truly hope this pervert is put in jail!

Actually, No she really does not need a mic to talk to her team mates if she is playing call of duty, or some other game because usually there going to say worse in the chat. Also moving to playstation will not help, anywhere you are on the internet you
are going to find people like this.

 

The police are, most likely, not going to do anything about it. Blocking these people and moving on is really the only option.

 

As said before, contact your local police department, file a report, and so on. What hasn't been stated in this thread yet is that Microsoft will coordinate with the PD and help them track down the user. Such as validating an IP for them to track. So report
each gamertag only once, block them, and write down the exact gamertag so the police and Microsoft will have all the information they need. Just remember that filing the same report on the same gamertag will not produce action any faster. If anything it will
slow it down. There are algorithms in place to help decide legitimate reports from spam. If you file reports constantly for the same singular instance, they system may push them to the side. Also, remember that millions of reports are filed every day, so
it takes some time to get through them all.
