Among The Sleep: save data problems/glitch?

Hello there! Anyone else on here played the game "Among The Sleep?" Great game, and has some spooky moments. I first played it a while ago, and managed to complete the game after some time playing it. I decided to play through the game again, because I liked
it. It's a fun game.

But recently, I've been having some issues with the game. How recently? About the last 2 days.

It happens like this: I'd be playing the game, and sometimes when I pause the game and select the "return to the main menu" option, my data seems to get...reset. The game options return to their default settings, and I can't select any other chapters besides
"birthday (new story)," "prologue," and "museum." All the other chapters are acting like they aren't unlocked yet.

This has happened a few times now. I noticed that about 99% of the times it happens, it's after I start playing the game (as in, I'm playing the game and not at the title screen) and adjust some of the game's options, like the gamma/brightness. (certain
areas of the game are pretty dark, it's hard to play a game when you can't see where you're going, y'know?) I'd return to the main menu, with the "adjust gamma/brightness" option on the screen, which in case you didn't know, happens when you start the game
for the very first time.

I'm honestly quite baffled as to why this is happening. I've checked some of my other installed games, and they seem fine. It's just Among The Sleep that's acting weird. The whole situation was frustrating, so I've just decided to uninstall the game and
play some of my other games instead. I'm honestly kind of bummed, because Among The Sleep is a really great game, and I even completed it 100% with all the achievements. But for the past 2 days, playing Among The Sleep hasn't been fun with this data loss.
I might reinstall it in the future, but right now I'm just gonna take a break from it.

Does anyone have any potential answers as to why this has happened to me? Has it happened to anyone else?

I power cycled the console, and re-installed the game.

The problem seems to be gone now. Nothing happened when I quit to the main menu, so I guess power cycling and re-installing the game fixed the issue.

searching through the good ol’ internet for a few minutes, I didn’t cone across any known issues like this, which can be good and bad.

The bad part about it is that it’ll be harder to find a fix. The good news though is that since its not logged anywhere, it might be just a quick, small fix

Definitely try hard reset of the console first (while the console is on, hold the power button for 10 seconds), clear the cache memory from the Settings area, and then also delete and re-install the game completely. Something tells me it was a corrupted
download initially and a piece of code isn’t there, making it act wonky for gamesaves. Whatever the result, let us know on here if it worked or not so we have an option for others if this occurs again

I'm having a similar problem (among others) with Brink. Try clearing all the save data as suggested here. Also clear the cache. If that isn't working exchange for a new disc. Are updates for the game being downloaded? A problem I'm having is after the Brink
update is downloaded I get a corrupted data message.

It's the corrupt file glitch.

Delete "PROFILE SAVED DATA" (this will reset your campaign progress).

Hi!

Since data is saved on Cloud (unless you start playing from the beginning) you can sync the saves.

Did you inadvertently delete the sync?

Among the FAQs is written:

Note: Never cancel your syncing data as this will delete it from the server and there is no way to retrieve it. We will NOT be able to return any type of Skill Points, Level, Experience or Tokens.
